In one of those weird coincidences of life, my late Uncle's best mate was Giant Haystacks. We used to call him Uncle in one of those "friend of the family" things. His lad is a City fan too.

I met Giant Haystack's son at a party in Bury in 1989.

It amused me greatly

Name was Noel if i remember rightly. Long curly hair, it was the fashion at the time.

I have never met him but the father-in-law used to go to car and van auctions with him to Scotland when my g/f was about 2, they even lived at his house for 3 months and she used to cry when he put his mask on. They were telling me this story at the weekend, he is about 70 now and still hard as nails by all accounts.
