I've just tried using the @ thing and it randomly turned on the bold button.

Aha, starting to get it now. How do I erase old alerts?

You can either hover over the Alerts button in the top right which will set them as read or can click the button and delete them individually.

You can set your preferences here:

Hovering over the stuff at the top rather than just clicking offers lots of functionality.

Yeah, I used to feel comfy on here, now I have QR randomly tagging me out of the blue and some poster following me that I don't know from Adam.

Nah I like the new look shit though and the forums a lot faster, especially now that annoying 'your message has been posted' page is gone.

There's a couple of different pages like that depending on your preferences. At the top of the page underneath the logo is a Forums button which has a New Posts bit and there's a Recent Activity page

As much as I like the new format and features, is there any way of getting more than one reply quoted in a chain going forward? Its sometimes hard to remember what has been said and I preferred the old format where 4 messages could be quoted on one post...
