Welcome to the new forum

how many followers like? am i one?

I think it was 3 but I don't know who.

And never forget that in some situations your followers could be called stalkers...

At my age if they're followers they might actually like me so I'll opt for them just being kind people. No stalkers. :-)

This is going to take some getting used to for an old luddite like me! Anyway one complaint, can we please have The bloody Cellar back, Off Topic just makes it seem like millions of other sites, naming it the Cellar, which i think was in honour of a poster no longer with us, brings a certain uniqueness to this place IMO

to be fair to admin the cellar was only meant to be a temporary thing. new posters didn't know what it was all about. we know and thats enough.

So been using it for a little bit now and I think it's much better to be honest.

Much more user friendly.

Can we keep it for a while please?

P.s I've only got one follower :-( and he's a right nob head ;-)

Could someone please tell me how to 'quote' text, as we used to on the previous incarnation of Bluemoon, or if it's still possible?

Thanks in advance.

To quote a specific bit of text just highlight it, and click the quote button below.

To quote an entire post just click the reply button next to it.

I'd worked out the bit about quoting an entire post, but the first bit was causing me trouble.

Thanks, Ric.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but can the new software support a 'Thanks' button on posts?

I often ask questions on the forum and some answers are particularly helpful but currently require a quote and reply post for my thank you.
A simple thanks button that tallies the number of thanks each poster accumulates would be useful to all posters.

To add to Ric's post, I think getting rid of the huge nested quotes is a major positive, they were cumbersome, and often pointless, as someone bolded 1 sentence within each. Not having to wade through posts like that has been a big plus for me.
