Seems to be alot of emphasis on attracting natural light into the stadium. Will help with the Groundsman maintaining the pitch but could maybe help brighten up the place too....
Noticed the section attached to the roof going across which would be ideal for including lighting effects at night games.

Just posted this on SSC, so might as well post it on here.

From the OS.

The countdown to kick-off has started...

Anticipation has been building ahead of the new 2015/16 season since the fixtures were released - and it cranked up a notch on Wednesday when we took you on an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium expansion project via Periscope.

Of course, Club photographer Victoria Haydn was in attendance to snap some shots of the new stand, allowing us to show you how it's progressing. Here are the best of the bunch...

Work in progress.(those new 3 front rows look rather low compared to the pitch)

What a view! Even our 'tour guide' had to stop and appreciate it...(For a £299 season ticket, you can't argue with that view)

jrb - you can get fullsize images off the OS if you edit the image URL and drop the ?h=281&w=500 off the end

Not sure. I couldn't find any larger versions of the pictures.

This may help? http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/t...ollar-site-development-thread.308415/page-325

that's not what I meant (and the picture in the post was not the same source doh!) if you look at the direct URL of pictures on the OS (right click and display in new tab) you'll see they are ashx files with that bit ?h=281&w=500 on the end which displays a 500 pixel wide photo - delete the bit of the end and the picture goes to 800 pixel wide

apologies to non-geeks reading this thinking jrb and I are communicating in The Clangers or Soup Dragon language or something similar...

You've lost me mate. Tried that and it's still coming out on the small size. :-?

Fantastic video showing the scale of the operation and just what is going on with the expansion.

I love the aerial photo of the stadium! Imagine what it will look like when the North Stand is expanded too. We are indebted to these wonderful people.

Anyone else think the roof looks a little slanted? Must be the angle the photo has been taken from. lol

There's obviously been a lot of debate about the NS expansion. I reckon with Chelsea, Spuds and Dippers now expanding into this mid-50K area very shortly the Sheik will get a move on - national pride and all that.

I think it looks better from the outside than inside - obviously this may change once it's finished and full against Chelsea.

With those new seats around the perimeter of the stands, which are below ground level (even if the eye-line of those sitting in the seats is not), are there any plans to lower the level of the pitch in future?
