At the end of the day we have to ask ourselves do we want to reach the next level or not? Do we walk away from sterling de Bruyne and pogba for the sake of 5m each and take the plan bs who are plan b for a reason or do we use the resources we clearly have and push through and strengthen immensely?

I'm happy for the club to establish the value of our targets and to not exceed that value. And I'm confident that we can reach the next level by doing so.

It's just the modern day football circus played out in front of the media.

Sterling situation is similar to De Gea in that they have been supposedly moving for weeks. Knowing there is a window gives the seller all the cards right now on sought after players unless you pay over the odds.

We're chasing a player who wants to leave so in some ways why not wait a week or two, or play along with the seller to get both the player and a good deal ? It won't affect pre season that much as most of the key players are not participating yet either ...

I would say he is no.1 priority personally especially after the Delph ordeal. We NEED homegrown players, no denying it. He is the best available by far imo and a position we are lacking in.

Well Casillas is now off to Porto so Madrid will look to push on with De Gea. Anyone noticing that the Rags didn't start their foreign signings until Nani and now RVP(pretty much done) were out? Dzeko and Jovetic should be gone this week and Liverpool are in Australia around the same time we are so if Sterling isn't finished next week, then start to worry.
