Nah
More likely he knows Sterling wants to leave, he knows we want to buy him, he knows a deal is getting close, he knows we offered £40M, he knows they want £50M, he knows both parties would prefer to deal asap, therefore he knows what we all know, and logic dictates that sometime within the next few days City will bid what will be reported to be in around £45M, give or take add ons? Is he ITK? is he fuck, just easy credible speculation based on the known facts
More likely Aidy Ward told him seeing as they are mates.

Undermining? It's an internet forum.
.
I'm not praising others. I'm saying Chelsea don't need to sign anybody because their first choice signings all played a star role in them winning the league last season. I don't know why that's so difficult to understand.
Costa and Fabregas were not a raging success despite early promise. They weren't great Champions, they strolled it thanks to Terry and Hazard, but I think it would be a mistake to think that they will do so again. And City wont be complacent. That in itself will count for a lot. Our team should have won it last season. Bony, Aguero, Sterling that would be the most fearsome forwardline outside of Barcelona. For a fan to be so ambivalent towards that is very odd

Because you said we had to strengthen last season, because Chelsea did. Now you are saying Chelsea don't need to strengthen this season, when we do.

You are on City's case & praising the transfer dealings of our enemies, moving from one thread to another doing so.

Why is it difficult to understand ?

Because you are supposed to be a City fan.
Exactly. We have to strengthen because we fell alarmingly short on all fronts. If we signed a Fabregas and a Costa this season, I'd say Chelsea would need to strengthen again. But we haven't yet and we're not going to improve by buying players who are no better than what we have.

And so what If I'm moving from thread to thread. My point is still the same. If we want the best, we still probably have to over pay because the best are wanted by the best. And we're still not at that level.

Knowing the candle burners they will make sterling travel just to show face then when they do the stop off in Malaysia or where ever then make the lad fly back and say there was a fee agreed whilst travelling just to make um look good

I've no idea mate. I'm not even flapping because truth be told I song particularly want us to sign Sterling. I'd love Pogba but again, he want even the best central midfielder at Juve last season. So I'm not going to cry when we don't.

As for paying the full price, who in their right mind is going to choose us over Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern, unless we pay more? To sign the supposed best players I feel like we need a clear run at them, and even then it will be difficult enough.

For all we know, other clubs might have been in touch with Pogba and De Bruyne. Barcelona clearly have, and in the end he will probably end up there next year. Not because they are willing to pay more, but because they are a bigger draw. We aren't as big of a draw, so we probably have to temp the selling club into only selling to us. Clearly we aren't doing that with him.
Silva, Aguro, Kompany, Toure?

Sterling isn't better than we have?

Bollocks.

Can just see Merlin playing those slide rule passes for sterling to run on to before slotting home or cutting back for Sergio orgasmic :)

Hi Prestwich.....I know nothing mate!:) just opinions, which we're all allowed, right? I'm on the fence when it comes to Txiki..but do feel he has a lot to prove this transfer window.....going off the reports, rumours and the bits of info we get from the people (ITK's) on here mate.....Would love to say, Txiki is perfect and everything going to plan so far but if what the ITK's and press are saying about the Delph situation...clearly Delph was one of our main, early targets and when a team triggers a release clause and has a medical set up for a player and he doesn't turn up, that can hardly we classed as "going to plan"......I believe with the development of the team and the long term plan we have, it should make it "easier" for Txiki to buy top players and so far he hasn't....Sept is the time to question what he has or hasn't done, so I'm willing to sit back and see what happens...which I feel is a fair and balanced opinion to have....Sterling will be a great start tho!;)
I understand why people get agitated but the reality is that, in the level of the football atmosphere in which we now live, transfers are very complex. I've been lucky enough to be ITK on a few transfers, some of which I've shared on here, some I've had to wait a while before talking about and some, because of the source, I keep to myself.

Big ones can take months from setting up the deal to completion and all sorts of hazards lie in wait. For instance, our policy is that we will only pay the contracted agent and then only up to a certain level. If anyone crawls out the woodwork demanding money that we don't feel they're entitled to then they get told to do one. If that kills the deal (Isco definitely and, I believe, Hazard) then so be it. Van Persie would have been ours but either Mancini refused to sanction the sale of Balotelli to PSG or Mario refused to go. Players like Delph and De Rossi simply didn't want to move. Agents play games and so do clubs.

The point is that you can be as clever or on the ball as you like as a club or DoF but that's often not enough. It's a world populated by sharks and shysters and a lot is in the lap of the gods.

Think we needed this signing more than pogba in my opinion. He's just what we're lacking. Can't wait to see him with silva and aguero.

Ahh right, so we can assume that as we sign players, you will then adapt accordingly & praise our enemies' signings & run with the theme that ours aren't good enough.
You are full of shit.

Do we have a layer like Sterling? He's very close to Hazard's level at 20. That's amazing.

We need Sterling more than De Bruyne but we need Pogba and Sterling to be a real force next year. If Yaya gets injured our midfield duo is Fernando and Fernandinho at the moment
