14 months ago they were chanting 'we're gonna win the league'. Now Sturridge is a crock and they've lost Gerrard, Suarez and Sterling

hehe

Wonderful isn't it?

Getting a good price for selling your best players and claiming victory is the preserve of the mid and lower table. Ever hear Real or Barca celebrating how much they sold a player for? No, because they're too busy celebrating winning actual prizes.

@Zin 'messiah' Zimmer what's not to like?

You don't think we will get Pogba?
Think midfield,is too exposed with Nasri in there rather than one of the 2'Fernandos

I'd switch nasri with yaya and and take out nasri for ferno

Except you don't have £50m in the bank you clown.
That's all they have to cling onto. That desperate to seem as though they've somehow come out of this deal as winners, when the cold hard facts are they've lost their best player (again) to a club who are on an upward trajectory whilst their own club are settling into a top 7 fight.
They will spend whatever fee is eventually paid on dross and Rodgers will be fucked off before the seasons out after being found out at the very top level.
We on the other hand will be going all out for four trophies, watching some of the most exciting football in Europe as Sterling interchanges with Silva, Aguero, Toure and potentially others who are at the very top of their game.
Yeah Liverpool have another "victory" - hopefully they'll celebrate it with the same gusto that met their team coach in their title winning season a couple of years back...

Was assured Sterling would get done and same goes for Pogba.

Delph, likewise, so you can appreciate both sides of the spectrum.

Whatever the price, whoever wants to claim the bragging rights, or the moral victory...

Sterling in a Man City shirt is a very frightening prospect for every rival we will face.

And that's value for money in every respect.

Exactly. It's not about winning or losing. The only time that counts, is on the pitch.
It's about getting a player who will improve our squad/team no end.
The monies talked about in modern day transfers are ridiculous, but that is the market
our club live and work in.I'm not bothered about the price, but i'm happy that Sterling
will be playing for us next season. Hopefully ;-)

Really looking forward to this being wrapped up, and get him out to some of our pre season games. Going to love seeing how he combines with Aguero, Silva etc.

Hope the club make a massive song and dance over this one. Big unveiling, big welcoming like we did with Tevez. Need to make him feel wanted since the rest of the media are going in to overdrive against him.

The funny thing will be hearing the Liverpool fans saying how they milked us and we over paid blah blah then in the next breath " we generate our own income we don't have a sugar daddy" yes you do you bunch of fucktard...... Ours....hypocrites

I think my stance on pogba is well known, I'd also hazard a guess you, like a few others, you over estimate his ability as a 'ball winning midfielder'... Then you go and throw nasri in the mix lol..

Silva will play more central, but in a 433 formations... Should we get KDB, which looks likely, we'll set up as so, also depending on the signings..

Alternatively.

Both sides could argue that they've "won". City get the player they wanted and Liverpool get the £50m they wanted.

When push come to shove what's more important, money in the bank or players out on the pitch? Liverpool also got their valuation on Suarez last season and went from title challengers to Europa League in the space of 12 months. City have more money than the other 19 clubs in the Premier League combined but we finished 2nd last year because we didn't have the right personnel out on the pitch.

Sterling isn't worth £50m but if he is one of the missing pieces of the jigsaw that allows us to wrestle back the title he will be worth every penny.

For Liverpool, £50m softens the blow of losing their best player but spend it like they spent the money they got for losing their previous best player and they might as well have got a fiver for him.
