Something i keep hearing from the bitter cultists is how he's going to be hated throughout the country and boo'd at every away ground he visits from now on like Ashley Cole did for a while. Is that likely? Not that i think it would have an impact anyway, he's shown how mentally strong he is dealing with the shitstorm and abuse of the last 2 weeks.

I've not really spoke to anybody about this that isn't a City or Liverpool fan or the occasional rag who's opinion is invalid anyway. Would say West Brom fans first game really single him out and boo him more than any other player because he said he doesn't want to play for Liverpool any more? I don't see any other team doing that. I'm probably looking at it through biased glasses but i think they'd more likely think it's hilarious if anything but i suspect 99% of other fans couldn't care less and it's just another deluded viewpoint from the Liverpool fans thinking that they're still relevant.
I think Liverpool are pretty deluded about their own popularity with other fans(amongst many, many other things). I imagine fans of other clubs are far more looking forward to ripping the piss out them for selling him than they are to taking the piss out of Sterling. They still don't get why every team they played against last year sang about Stevie Me slipping

That's something like I imagine it, but I was thinking perhaps Yaya in front of Pogba & Dinho, but it could work either way. Also a 41 41 with Dinho perhaps sitting behing Yaya & Pogba or Yaya sitting behind Dinho & Pogba.

Cetainly would give us options if he signed. Even Pellegrini's all aout attack option with two upfront is still on the cards vs lesser teams.

I think his 'all out attack' methods were exposed last year due to a couple of factors, one the performances of key players being off, but also his lack of adaptability during games, a plan b if you like.

I believe he's the type of manager that with players at his disposal like above, he'll go for the throat 90% of the time... Exciting? Yes? Easily exposed? We'll have to wait and see....

Personally nev, I think komps and mango will give there own rendition of helms deep this year, that's what I'm excited about!!!

Thing is we're not as hated as some seem to believe on here. Our most recent title wins were basically cheered by everybody who wasn't a rag or a dipper.

Think fans at least smart ones will understand why Raheem came here. Better team, better club and probably a pay rise. In our own careers we would all move for the same things.

the problem might be a limit on the number of characters that are actually displayed...
maybe try changing your "up and given" into "up & given" to give yourself 2 extra characters, then your sideboard should extend
(if you see what i mean)
can't have you sitting on a sideboar, old fella
Job's a good 'un. Thanks, mate.

Liverpool plane apparently at the end of the runway at Manchester and about to take off if anyone is interested.

It is CSTFX if you want to try to make some quip out of that combo of letters. It has an S for Sterling and a TF for Transfer in there.

I think those two will have a much better season & I expect Denayer to show up well, maybe even in more than one position.

Pellegrini seems to love his 4222 but if he lets Dzeko & Jovetic go & doesn't buy a striker, it would suggest to me that he plans on using other systems a lot more. Only two senior strikers in the squad, playing together regularly, one with Aguero's fitness record, doesn't seem a goer to me.

The RAWK kopites chat some right shit.

Talking down Sterling and saying he a bit as good as he or we think. Why are they so bothered about him then?

Fact is guys we've just taken away their best player and hopefully we take Coutinho away next year just to bury another nail in their coffin. I knew it was curtains for them the moment one of our loan players became one of their best (Bellamy) and that the rot was setting in. The yanks did a number on them and they've never been able to reclaim that lost ground. Spurs will be closer than them to top four next season yet Spurs are ran prudently.

I am so so so chuffed with this transfer, it gives us that genuine pace and directness we have lacked since Bellamy left.

They're about to lose their best player and arguably the best player England have produced over the last 10/15 years They're losing him to a team they considered beneath them. The ramifications to this transfer are huge for Liverpool.
In what possible way have Liverpool won?

I'm staggered at what i'm reading on here at present. If ever there was a man stuck in a catch 22 with some of our supporters it's Txiki. Suddenly everyone's an expert on how to negotiate deals and everyone thinks what they would've paid is what matters when patently the opposite is true. As for Liverpool being "winners" in all this - I'm close to a couple of scousers, and they're feeling like anything but winners - especially with the prospect of BenTakeaway just around the corner.

One down three to go.

There's only two winners in this deal. Us and Sterling. We got a player who is young, English and hugely talented - how good will he be with Silva, Aguero, Yaya, Nasri etc - oh, and training with them day in, day out. Sterling has moved to a club who are in the CL, and who challenge for trophies every season - he will be playing alongside the best, and against the biggest clubs in Europe.

The only thing Liverpool have is money.....and they have to give a chunk of that to QPR. They have nothing else......Nada.......zip. They have lost their best player, they have lost one of England's most talented youngsters, they have lost an England international.....the repercussions are huge. They are now selling club, and no amount of posturing will change that.
