To be fair to the rent-a-gob dogger though, if you were a Villa fan you would be inclined to be very pissed off with the mismanagement of the club at boardroom level at present.

And he's right to point out that Villa do have a proud history, but are crippled by mismanagement and the financial power of other clubs in the league.

We had that problem not so long ago, so we should be more suited to empathising than most. Even if we're on the other side of the fence now.

'How rich of a guy I am'

Knocked up by a buffoon then!

Very good signing. Notwithstanding, people need to give their head a wobble, if they think Delph alone will solve our midfield porblems.

True. Gone from FA Cup finalists and a team that at last looked like it was on the up, to a team that all of a sudden looks very threadbare

We haven't got Pogba so how can it be an enormous blow? We can't lose what we have not got.

Sterling and Delph improve what was the Premiership's outstanding squad.

Chelsea have done nothing.
Arsenal have improved, but sill need a forward.

I know things can change, and Arsenal will surely make a big signing, or two, and Chelsea, but at the moment it looks good.

An enormous blow to our attempts at strengthening the side for the present and future, and making that next step in our evolution - competing for the Champions League.

Give over, problems? I bet there are a few clubs who wish they had our problems such as Yaya and Silva.

Delph isn't a replacement for Pogba. He's effectively a squad replacement for Lampard. Lets be honest, we aren't getting Pogba.. I have no clue why anyone even has hope at this point. Either way, this signing is not at all related.

It gives us more options, and would enable us to play 3 in midfeld and 3 forwards. If we wanted to.

Collymore did make a good point though...before he almost hyperventilated. Who at Villa agreed long term contract with a senior player like Delph and only includes a release clause of £8m - a fee that any Premier League team could afford ? Amateurish in the extreme and you could feel Colly's pain. Still fucking funny that Delph's done a U turn though.

What makes you so sure we're not getting the Pogman?

I retracted my welcome to Manchester statement last week to Delph. .. I also said fair play to him and that it took big balls to reject a big money move to a big club. ...
I'm guessing now that his balls are the size of melons. ...
Fair play to him coming to his senses. I'll give him a 2nd chance. Looking forward to finding out the reasons behind this. ...
Welcome to Manchester. ....

At the very least delph means not having to rely on fernando as much. That alone improves the midfield quite a bit....hopefully.

They are all ringing in whinging about getting Delph on the back of their new shirts. Lol.

but but but "Welcome to Manchester" :(

Our PR people should advise Delph to apologise to Villa fans for misleading them and he should offer to refund anyone who bought a shirt with his name on following his statement about staying. A small gesture but would go down well with a wider audience.
