They were not all of the problem but definitely shown to be not ready at a higher level yet. So it's better to judge then when they actually played for a prolong period of time against strong competition

Angelino should've been kept , tbf i think pogba is a must , we cant sustain a midfield 2 against top european opponents , fuck sake even the united cunts ran our midfield 2 over. We need a midfield 3 and pogba is the one we should be going after. we can interchange all we want pogba is a must.

I am not going to criticise any of the youngsters at all, but its some of the senior members that have disappointed. If we do not get the acquisitions we need this summer, we can kiss goodbye to the premier league title. Fernando as your back up midfielder is just not good enough, absolutely terrible. Would much rather have spent 13m on Cabaye than keep this waste of space. I literally cannot see what the man offers, Octopus... pfft, a tortoise more like. How people can say that we haven't got room for De Bruyne is beyond me... sick of watching Navas each game fail to get past the first man with a cross and struggle to beat a man down the line. We need players with quality, not players that just make up the numbers. Get rid of Dzeko too, his time has come and he looked like he couldn't trap a bag of cement.

Think we still need possibly another 2 centre mid acquisitions (Pogba is key and Aranguiz on the cheap will do to replace Fernando to give us MUCH more energy and nous), a left back (one that can defend at least) and another attacking midfield player (De Bruyne), the strength in depth is not good enough. Time to roll out the chequebook and bring in much needed players to help bolster the squad and get rid of the deadwood.

Nope you are wrong. Ronaldo is played onside by Kolarov. Have the freeze frame in front of me. It's tight but Kolarov is definitely the culprit.

But I am more concerned at our lack of defensive shape. Pellers seems only concerned with attacking and we will continue to be found out defensively with his attitude. We are so easy to open up.

Only one thing is glaringly obvious to me. FULL BACKS!!!! Only one world class one out of 4 in Zaba. This is much more an issue than Pogba and debruyn surely?

i totally agree, Denayer was paired with a 16 year old and he's young himself , ffs both of them put together are Demichelis's age. MAdrid played the team that won them the CL , we played a team full of youngsters and second stringers without our best players except for silva. FFs calm down, academy lads are proper talent.

Fair play to Hinchcliffe though for defending Denayer and Humphreys and pointing the finger in the direction of Kolarov and Sagna.
We need to get our defending sorted.
