@111Lesley111: taken today on the stadium tour by Carla Ross

- Seats nearly all in new third tier
- Started to put new corporate seats in tier 2 of the South Stand
- Front tier roof supports have gone from being white to black
- The clear cover divide between the roof & stand looks thinner than the existing piece. People might get wet at the back of the tier, unless it's not finished of course.
- Front row seats nearly all in the East Stand
- Seats still not in the new end of East tier 3.

Fwooarrrr

Top pic...really coming along now it seems

It's all going to be fully complete for the Chelsea game, concourse and everything. We've not seen much in the past fortnight, but I can assure you they haven't only been putting new seats in!

I can see those pitchside seats being largely empty during games as people move round to the standing blocks for a better view and to keep dry during the rainy season (Jan to Dec).

I agree with you there - I already know 2 people who have bought them based on price, but have no plans to stand at them, they'll just come and stand with us further back in the block!

New black Etihad signage across the top of the North Stand. Same looks to be across the new tier 3 as well.

Groundwork for new rows at the front the the CB stand looks to be nearly finished.

Can any one help ?. What is the total number of seats that has been added to the 2 southern ends of the East Stand and CB stand. Hope that is clear.!
Could it be 500 at both ends ?.- making a total of 1,000.

In terms of the interior, this surely has to be the best ground in the Premier League. The Emirates is our only competition but I think the closeness of the seats to the pitch in the North and South Stands is what makes ours slightly better imo. Can't wait to see what it looks like when/if both are finished especially on a European night when the stadium is lit up. This club has changed so much in such a short space of time.

Anybody got any photos of inside the Level 1 South Stand concourse? Just wondering how they are going to utilise the extra space

I asked the same question a while ago, and I think the answer was approx 350 in each block. 700 in total

Amazing that despite one end having 3 tiers and the other just 2, the stadium doesn't look lopsided, at all. Superb work. Can't wait to see it full.

Am I the only one who thinks the stadium looks fantastic INSIDE, but looks like some kind of Meccano project outside?

In addition, am I the only one who sees the melding of the roof between the South Stand and the Colin Bell & East Stands as quite inartful?

Maybe will think differently when I see it for the Chelsea game, and think the new ground is going to look amazing when lit up for night games, but in pics it looks a bit "cobbled together." Ironic, given our historic hom, which was the very definition of that term!

It's definitely just you, although you're right about the corner bits of the roof as they are semi permanent structures, designed to be quickly removed once the sides are expanded.

Perhaps it just looks better in person than it does in pics.

Judge our stadium and surrounding areas in 8 years. It is a work in progress.
