Media bias against City

The media are in denial about the rags result last night. No mention on talkshite on 7 o'clock news, little about the goals on my twitter account. Ladyman saying it's just a preseason friendly, it's about fitness. I just compare that to the delight expressed by the hacks in repeating our Real Madrid score.

Spot on. I notice the BBC hide last night's defeat behind a story about de Gea's potential move. Their report about our defeat in the friendly against Real was very 'sticky' both on their website and their red button service. Despicable organisation.

Prob because mcfc vs Real Madrid is a much bigger draw these days than the rags vs psg

I have a feeling that this is not new. An article in the Nazigraph today about top 10 clubs for financial stability talks about Norwich and says...Despite the fact that Carrow Road will be hosting the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal this season, the supporters have not been fleeced for the privilege - season-ticket prices have been frozen for the second year in a row as a “thank-you from the Club to fans in the 80th anniversary year of Carrow Road”.
It is subtle but just crops up everywhere these days.
That's click bait ad revenues for you, might as well have read

On the BBC Sport Page and I can't see any mention of the rags pre season game against PSG, its as if it never happened. Would it have been similar for the Barca game when they played half of Barca's second 11 ?

Norwich have been charging us £50+ for tickets for the past few years when we go there - it's easy to take the moral high ground and say you're 'freezing ticket prices' when they are already astronomical and disproportionate to the stature of the club. A club that charges over £50 for a ticket to a Championship game should be ashamed of themselves!

Apparently the rags let them win to lead us all into a false sense of security. LVG says it was his plan all along, and that he learnt a lot about his team. Whilst the chuckle brother (not sure which) thinks this proves they will win the league this year

Poll on the Express goes like this:

Best transfer of the summer so far?

-cech
-depay
-falcao
-clyne
-firmino
-alderweireld

Dot dot dot dot.....

I like the way we are portrayed as being a graveyard for young English talent and yet they can turn established world class players into sunday league players while paying them a fortune and escape any real critism.

In Falcao and DiMaria they have spunked god knows how much money and surely any genuine world class player will look at them now and see them for what they are.

Edit,
While not exactly world class, how do you also manage to fuck up having a keeper of Valdez quality within a year as well.

Can you imagine if we had signed Valdes, Falcao and DiMaria and then shipped them all out within 12 months?

Not sure this encompasses the thread title, but shit head Shearer has been blessing us again with his widom.

On Sterling. "Will he improve City ?. Yes. For £49m. No".

Cech is the biggest example of media bias for me.

He's been on a downward spiral ever sign the Hunt incident and in recent years has made some howlers.

Stick a lesser defence in front of him and he'll be exposed even more.

Laughable that it's lauded as a great deal. £7/8m whatever it is Chelsea got is amazing.

He'll be the worst transfer of the summer.
