TRAFFIC CHAOS on Sunday, as Mancunian Way collapses at Ancoats end..

they'd probably have closed it again anyway as it is match day the fucking rag wankers

Just giving this a bump .
mODS needs to be a sticky going to make a lot of people miss the first half Sunday whilst trying to sort their tickets out ?

It's been on the local and national news and it's in all the papers not much more we can do traffic in that part of town is bad at the best of times
Agree mate but its only people on here that have pointed out to me its on a bit of the Mancunian way I would use .the place namesand road numbers don't register with me.

Anyone got any idea what the diversion is. I come down from Edinburgh and always park in the church car park off Pollard Street a couple of hours before KO as the roads are pretty quiet then. Thinking of just setting off half an hour earlier tomorrow, going the same route and taking any diversions.

Hoping that getting there shouldn't be a complete nightmare getting there, but dreading the journey home. Midnight return with Mini Ledge going back to school in the morning!

What's the tram situation these days? if I go by train can I get a tram from Victoria or does it have to be Picadilly?

Sale Water Park is the best place to park, then a tram to Deansgate via Cornbrook, then bus or walk to Piccadilly to re-connect with the Metrolink.

Personally I am going to park at Ashton Moss and come in from the Ashton direction on the tram.
As I have two wrinklies with me, one of who is a bit unsteady on his feet, I have to drive. I was considering coming off the M60 at Ashton (a longer way, I know), it looks like a straight run in. What is the run-in like?

Every 12 mins from Victoria to Ashton via the stadium. Coming back it's possibly better to get one of the shuttle trams back to Picc and wait for the regular service tram there as you'll have a bigger choice to get back to Vic.

I just checked trains, none from Northwich. Bus replacement to Stockport so still 2hr journey. Going to turn at platt lane and make my way to the ground that way.

We live in winsford, going to go from Crewe 34 mins on the train 8 mins on the tram hopefully

Just been across mancunian way. Bit of a red herring to say it is closed. Th access off it at the mancunian way is just one point earlier. Won't be as bad as people making out. Just turn off it near the old telephone exchange.

IGo up the ramp after mosside Asda and follow it round to a bridge and turn right by a PC world,
Will I still be able to do this please ?

No, you'll be diverted off the Manc Way the slip road before that takes you to Piccadilly Station.

Might be best to come off at the junction before that for UMIST on to Sackville Street and then turn right on to Whitworth a Street and past Piccadilly. No idea what the traffic will be like though!

Do you mean the turn off where they built the ramp but forgot to build the road ?

From Chester road end go through Hulme, turn right at the Audi dealer follow Hulme signs , came back that way from Trafford centre yesterday wasn't to bad, extra 15 mins at the most
