Post match thread - City v Chelsea

Crossed my mind about an hour after the final whistle when this thread had only hit 20 pages or so, if we'd lost it would have been 60+ at that point. Miserable cunts.
I'm confused because I'm a happy clapper, can I come in this thread please?

Brilliant today.
I thought it was really loud in the south stand.
On the pitch absolutely brilliant attacking football not like them how boring must it be to watch that every week constant diving and play acting.
Every player was brilliant.
Kolorov has carried on from the end of last season looking really good.
Vinny back to bullying centre forwards and back to his best.
Mangala looking like the player we thought he would be.
Sanga much better zab will have to wait a while to get in.
Dino was superb in front of the back four.
Naval and Stirling work the fullbacks well but really covered back well.
Yaya a bit like vinny back to bullying players and just been brilliant.
And kun and silva there are no words really

On a side note, I think today showed why Nasri is surplus to requirements. Look at the fluid speed we play with when he isn't in there. The days of slow and patient seem to be gone.
I noticed this as well. I think this is the year we convert him to the role of impact sub. To his credit he doesn't cut the figure of a discontented player in that regard either so it could work out well for us and him for this season.

So glad we stuffed the fuckers. Mourinho once again proves how much of a bellend he is with his after match interview, makes the victory taste even sweeter.

so, just to prove that Monday wasn't a fluke, we battered Chelsea by the same score line ( it could've been a lot more)
Maureen was outplayed at his own game, Pelegríni had singled out Costa as a possible weak link, Vinny and Fernandinho' duly abliged, trying to wind him up to snapping point.
I had my doubts about Sagna, but he seems to have upped his game, and Kolarov just keeps getting better and better.
Still, better not get too carried away, what with the pundits only tipping is for 5th....

Fantastic performance from Hart to Agüero today, despite what the eye-gouger claimed. Better team second half? Who are you trying to kid, Maureen?Every one of the 14 who graced the Etihad pitch this afternoon played their part in a wonderful display and excellent result.

I thought Yaya was MotM, but the back four were all colossuses today, though I'm sure we'll still hear criticism of Eliaquim Mangala and Aleksandar Kolarov.

However, after Begović made those great saves in the first half, I was beginning to think it was going to be one of those days.

But, we showed great passing and movement for the first goal and then never looked back.

With these first two results, we have put down a marker for the season and other teams had better be aware.

Outstanding display and completely outplayed Chelsea. 4-0 at HT would not have flattered us.

Fantastic performances all over the pitch.

Good god. It was a fun little observation, that's it. Yes 100's of things could have been fucking different, but I am talking about those two instances.

I'm talking about the same two instances. Ffs no keeper on earth stands a chance when Kun puts them in the corner like he did with the first and Courtois isn't exactly the quickest to get down, is he? As for Vinny's when they go in off the post like that it's silly to say any keeper would have saved them.

Begovic has been one of the league's top keepers for the last 5 seasons and while Courtois might have a higher ceiling he's not definitively better at the moment, he's weak in the air, slow to get down and flaps at crosses, he handed us an equaliser with both hands at Stamford Bridge last season in case you've forgotten. Chelsea weren't handicapped by their goalkeeper today. They were handicapped by being technically, physically, mentally and tactically inferior in every area of the pitch outfield.

What a game, first time in a while where we've been up against a title rival and I've not been nervous about the game. Fancied us to stuff these today and you can see how hungry we are to prove our critics wrong.

Remember after the 6-1 when it "felt" like we'd killed them, and it was proved true as team after team lost the fear of the rags and gave them loss after loss to help us to the title?

Doesn't it feel just like that tonight?

Wasn't bad was it? Again, everybody performed. the favourite boo boys on here were all excellent. Sagna, completely faultless against last years player of the year, Kolarov excellent again and going forward he gave them problem all day. Not forgetting that most of Chelsea's good work last year came from their right with Ivanovic overloading that side, Kolarov with the help of Sterling and his threat in behind completely nullified that. Mangala was phenomenal yet again, i'm so happy he looks to be proving me right with my prediction of a big season for him. and Vinny led the team and looked commanding again.

Fernandinho deserved man of the match. Superb in midfield. Completely dominated the entire midfield both defensively and offensively. Yaya was in the mood going forward, didn't do much defensively but we know by now he's not going to do it and he should be so thankful he has Fernandinho next to him, Sterling didn't produce much for the second game in a row but i'm still more than happy with him. Unlike Navas or Nasri last season just the threat of him running at the fullback or in behind makes them double up on him and allows Silva the freedom of the 10 yards outside the box, Kun looked rusty, he should of had at least a hattrick but he's only going to get sharp by playing and if he can still score such a vital goal whilst not looking completely fit that'll do me nicely.

Everton next week is a huge game. Drop points there and this will all have been for nothing. The players know this, they look hungry and i'm excited by their hunger.

Love my new seat in 114. view wasn't as bad as i was expecting, ample space on the concourse and most of all, every single person around me was up for it singing constantly all game. Long may it continue.

What a horrible bunch of nasty twats. No doubt taking their lead from that horrible nasty twat Mourinho. They got what they deserved. Words don't describe how much Costa will be hated if he carries on at this rate.

Meanwhile we lead the way in how to play the game :)
