You're right, but instead of getting a few million every now and then, over several seasons, it's put into the Otamendi transfer, if I'm not mistaken. Smart piece of business IMO.

It doesn't really matter when we physically get it though, it's been accounted for and it's not like we're relying on the hard cash being in our hands to pay player wages or to stay afloat or anything. There's no real benefit to us in them owing us money for Negredo other than if there were potential fines looming over Valencia's head for non-payment and we could use it to our advantage in negotiations to knock a few quid off the price which doesn't seem to be happening if the rumours of meeting his buyout clause are true.
