Once a Blue, always a Blue

Tevez isn't welcome, hope he never steps foot back in the Etihad..... The rest are more than welcome City Legends

Can't agree with you..............Without Tevez we would not have won Silverware 2011/2012 and incl. the Charity Shield when we beat Chavski at Villa Park.
We all have our own opinions though...........

We needed the money.

I know and I wished I had enough money to give them so that we could keep him, never wished that before!! And I had a lovely letter from him when he moved to AV (I know probably written by a PR person, I'm not naive enough to think anything else) with a signed photo but in AV colours, didn't suit him, Dunnie was Blue through and through!! Genuine signature though. Authenticated by a message on the reverse!!

I agree once a blue always a blue............but................and I know I will be lambasted for this.........but my other love is Red and White......as in Hull Kingston Rovers, my home cities Rugby League team. Whilst I try to get to as many City matches as I can every season, 29th August is reserved for Wembley this year and a (hoped for) victory against Leeds.
City for champions, Rovers Challenge Cup winners.....and life will be perfect.

Love Balo and Micah.

We're one of the few clubs remaining that would still applaud former players on their return. Arsenal boo about anyone who ever leaves them, we recognise that certain players are better off elsewhere.

The likes of Danny Mills and Joey Barton deserve the stick they would get when back at the Etihad.

I love Balotelli, as mad as he was, he fits in with City. The De Bruyne thread last night was like a day in the life of Mario.

Barton always did ok on the pitch so I've no problem with him.

Why don't we sign Mario.
I'm serious he loves us.
We love him.
Sign him tell him he puts one foot wrong he's gone.
I think he would realise it's last chance salon.
Last Chance...

what do you like about Joey?

He never gave us less than 100% and there was a season he kept us up practically on his own. I like that he enjoys Rugby League. He takes a huge amount of stick, particularly when he was on Question Time and gave his political analysis of choosing the best out of an ugly crew. I got it and I'm a Labour Councillor haha.
No, I can honestly say I like Joey Barton despite his flaws. In a nutshell he's a character and as the thread says; Once a blue!

One of the best players EVER to wear our shirt.

I like everyone except Danny Mills - now. Even though he's got an unlikable face I still liked him when he was here.

Dunno what's wrong with him. If I had a face like that I'd be REALLY nice.

Edit: Don't trust Rodney Marsh. Ass kisser.

No he didn't.

Richard Dunne and Sylvain Distin had much more to do with it than Barton.

That ship has well and truly sailed. We were seen as a backward step for Mario when he first came to us, but if he ever returned its us who'd be taking a backward step. He's an undoubted talent but a flawed one and not suited to a club with serious ambitions.

Within a year of him being at Milan, Mino Riola did an interview saying how Mario regretted ever leaving City as it was the only place he ever felt truly loved and appreciated. Its a shame because although he was bonkers, he was our bonkers and he kind of epitomised a chaotic early Manchester City.

Deep down I'd love it if he could return, but even deeper down we all know it would be a huge mistake. It was great seeing him and Micah back though and even more special that they were allowed AAA back stage after such a huge game. That says all you need to know about the club I love. I wish them both all the best for the future and I suspect that Micah, Mario and City wish we could all be a part of what's going on now together, but perhaps it was never meant to be.
