Everton vs City - Post Match Thread

Really tough test today, Everton weren't poor, far from it. Great defending to keep their chances to a bare minimum. The people calling for Navas to be subbed at half time are fucking idiots.
I thought Pellegrini made a mistake taking Sterling off, we looked more vulnerable on that side. What do I know though, because it was Nasri who sealed it.
Great performance from us today, I hope we keep this up and really put pressure on Chelsea, Mourinho's teams don't like playing catch up.
A quick word on the ref. He gave us nothing, he's a ****.

Nerves settled now.good result and 2 great goals.Navas again one of the best players on the park again.kompany on top form and as usual Silva motm for me.

Have say think kolarov,Silva, sterling is gonna cause a lot of problems this season.love it

We won't get many harder away games than that great win defence was brilliant
An away win at Everton before the end of August is an absolute triumph in terms of getting a potential pitfall overcome at a canter.
How far did they have to go back?

Special mention yet again for Sagna.
Flawless again.
Looked very, very impressive.
Three games, three outstanding performances.
Brilliant defensively but poor getting forward. Was in some good positions and couldn't cross the road. But tbf, defend first etc.

Far better team in general, looking the business again. Be hard to compete with at that standard

great result today....always difficult game going to Goodison. We had to fight for this win and we did it! Mangala had another solid game today and Sterling's pace and pass on that 1st goal was great to see....now we can all see why he worth every penny!;) Glad to get this one over with.......I really like Navas's work rate and his pace but think a De Bruyne would have put that shot in the back of the net!;)......great win Blues!!!!

Sterling's best game in a City shirt and the lad is looking better by the week. Weighted passes and awareness I didnt think he had in him.

So many other positives too. Vinnie's imperious return to form, Kolorov and Sagna looking immense, Navas, Ferny....

Three games in and I feel that the only opposition between us and the title is injury.

Huge performance from all of the team, great goals from Kolarov and Nasri, the midfield was buzzing, and we stood firm in defence, Goodison was never a good ground for us in recent years, but this performance spoke volumes today...............well done guys............
