To young to see "Colin the King" (not old enough) for you old fuckers is he better, on a par?

Priviledge to have seen both play, not going to choose one or the other, one is a legend the other is about to become one when he hangs up his boots.

I seen Bell but only the latter end of his career, absolute legend. Silva is in my opinion the best player I have seen in a City shirt, he is simply fantastic and already a legend.

Simplicity who is the greatest ever City player?

Never witnessed Bell. But for me Silva is the best player I have ever seen. Just wanted your thoughts from the people who have seen both.

King Colin could change and win the game
David can control the game and give the killer pass
Privilege to see two superb footballers in sky blue

Totally different to David Silva.... That said, Colin Bell is one of the very few players of 40 years ago who would have thrived in todays Premier league.

Make no bones Bell had it all, powerful engine, strong in the tackle, speed, great in the air, passing, vision and chipped in with plenty of goals too.. I'd say that Colin Bell was probably the first truly great box to box player that England had ever seen.

Silva is an absolute fucking genius in the modern game, he's like a fucking ghost at times and just unplayable... In fact, he has been for the last 4 years or so... Maybe, just maybe he'll eventually get the recognition that his magical skills deserve from the media at the end of the season

One thing very similar about Silva and Bell though, both players are/were very modest about themselves

Bell was more like Steven Gerrard. Different eras and all that but the king of the kippax made the game look effortless.

Like yaya he was most effective as the game went on. He was naturally fit and as only 1 sub was allowed (only for injuries too at the start of his city career) his stamina would give him a great advantage along with his skill and vision.

Only saw the King for the 73/74 season (my first) and obviously his return, but many videos and other peoples opinions show him to have everything except "Agueroesque" 5 yard speed. David doesn't have heading, tackling or shooting, but his other attributes are better than Colin. Very tough call, just glad i have seen both in Sky Blue.

Seen quite a bit of both. As people have stated very hard to compare as the are completely different types of player. The King was probably a bigger goal scorer from memory, but stats may say I'm wrong. A pleasure to have seen both and also the same with Lee and Aguero, all four world class.
