Refugee crisis

you seem to be seeing what you want to see, or more likley what the media want you to see.

so you don't think that even a small % would take Mum and Dads advice and run? , the ones that have Mum's and Dads left!. and if you had say a 16 year old boy who could get forced into battle by either side, you wouldn't tell them to leave?

I think you have that the wrong way around, a small % may try to take advantage.
Wales. Perfect destination for a small minded bigot. The place is full of them.

But be careful when you open your mouth. They don't like foreigners coming into their country.

Well Cameron has buckled and offered to take five thousand migrants in.

Also

When that person arrives in the UK, they will be met at the airport by the Refugee Council and any other interested parties, and taken immediately to the local authority where they will be housed. Their accommodation will have been arranged before they arrive.

:: They are then given 12 months of support. This includes registering with a GP, local school, job centre, banking services, welfare benefits, English language courses etc. This is funded by both the Home Office and the EU.

........

So everyone can be satisfied now ?

Oh and Bob geldof is gonna let 4 families live in his home too.

5000 people? Doubt it will satisfy people on either side of the debate.

What happens to these people/families when syria is safe to move back to and live in? (thats assuming it ever will be). Do they get shipped back or have they got indefinite leave to stay in the uk for ever?

"The 6 Gulf countries: Qatar, UAE, S.Arabia,Kuwait, Oman & Bahrain offered 0 places to Syrian refugees."
Is this true??or is this right that they refuse to take refugees OR don't refugees like these countries.
Just interested to know why these countries have a fear of taking these people.

I have lived and had business links with Dubai for many years [still do].

Understand that the dictatorships of the GCC countries are propped up by the US and UK in order to secure oil and gas but also to act as their bankers. Equally, all these rulers and their acolytes are paranoid about being overthrown by their own people and so shower them with gifts and/or oppress them horribly. In addition, the virtual slave labour they get from South Asia and the Phillipines suits their economic models. So the last thing they want is other chirpy Arabs turning up demanding rights, trade unions, democracy and, god forbid, citizenship. You see, the less you have to share around, the richer you get. Is that clear enough, my friend?

Every scene of would be immigrants shows men in the overwhelming majority, be it Calais, Greece, Italy, Hungary, wherever.
Taking family advice and run, do you actually believe that?
It goes against every human instinct when danger is threatening you and your family.
They have left for economic reasons, not all but the vast majority.

You're generalising and making assumptions about things you haven't the first clue about. Maybe the men think walking across five countries would be too dangerous for a family and they would try to get to a European country and apply for asylum for his family once there?

You think men are just leaving behind family for greed? The attitude of some people on this thread makes me sick to my stomach.

I thought the little graph that you posted earlier illustrated the numbers of refugees taken in by the countries you've mentioned? Now you seem to be questioning the information you posted as gospel earlier? Or, are you reposting this again because nobody took the bait when you posted the graph earlier?

You seem to be looking for some sort of outrage response to the information you keep posting, I base this observation on the presentation and content of your posts. I would add to a stranger like me, you're coming across as if you have some deep issues surrounding the nature of the discussion and the people involved. You seem to be posting information just to stir up emotion.

Why, and where are you seeking this negative information out? What sort of sites are you visiting? And what are the sites 'angle'? Are they refugee/Muslim friendly sites? - don't answer these questions, they're rhetorical.

You clearly have no understanding of the sectarian devides that exist in the region and how complex the situation is. For instance I notice Israel wasn't highlighted in either your graph or the above post. So either you do understand the complexities of rehousing these refugees in the many neighbouring countries or you're suggesting it's up to the Arab nations to sort this out?

Anyway here's some brief information regarding sectarianism in the Middle East.

There is literally 100,000s of unbiased websites to gather sound information from. Sites which have no 'angle' or agenda.

He's gone on holiday to Wales mate. I hope it fucking chucks it down. ;)

Edited, can't be bothered.

We don't have to understand why they don't take refuges by making excuses for them,it's right that we make their bigotry known by questioning who and what they are.

Yes they are bigots because they wont accept asylum seekers because they are not the kind of people they want.
I never said they were or weren't 'bigots'. I asked you to elaborate on the 'who and what they are' line.
I suggest you read the article @Ducado has posted above.
have you got a problem with that?
Temper, temper! Anger begets hatred my friend.

Whatever the reason it isn't good enough if some of you want to make excuses for them, then start understanding the excuses made for them not coming to the UK. I don't want excuses I would like action and it needs to be done now. It's not alright to refuse refuges because they don't subscribe to a certain church and it's not OK to make excuses for that bigotry.
