We are not getting better are we? Defensively awful. Aguero may not be at his best but he's saved us again tonight. Tactically inept again.

Doubt we'll ever be better under him defensively but guess we have to live with it at least this season.

Yep, changes were good and very logical.

That's the issue though - the yaya substitution wasn't tactical. It was an injury.

Anybody who watches City in Europe knows we cant play yaya in a midfield 2. Except one man unfortunately.

Credit where is due for changing it. Navas and Fernando changed the game.

People take a piss at Navas but he needs to start in these types of games. Even if that means either Silva, Sterling or De Bruyne sit. Navas may be terrible at crossing, but he stretches the field, his ball retention is decent and his defending helps stop counter attacks. We are more balanced with him in the line up.

Interesting point. For all his faults our best performances this season have been with both Sterling and Navas on the wings. But silva always has to start and when you pay over £50m for KDB he will always start. But plenty of games to keep all happy.

I must admit that I would have preferred us to have begun with a much more compact shape but we aren't half entertaining to watch; oh, and we won.
Are we though? Are we entertaining in the way a top side is or entertaining in the sense it's end to end with no control of the game so god knows what will happen?
