From the BBC. Van Gaal's post-match comments.

"We have to be more consistent so next week when we win against Manchester City then we can say 'OK, now we think maybe about title aspirations'." Louis Van Gaal

Hopefully, that is taped to the Dressing Room wall AFTER the Sevilla game. Not been too often in my 50 yrs when we meet United where the winner could overtake the other at the top of the league, but for four seasons now, the derbies have been very significant in the title race. However, even if they win, chances are The Arse will top the table and we'd drop to 3rd!

So, we need to NOT LOSE, because it would be nice to ram those words right back where they came from. A WIN would be even better as it would also open up some space between us.

What's with Rooney's current celebration? (Admittedly he hasn't been in a position to do it much this season). It looks like he's shielding his eyes from the sun ffs.

He's making what is generally recognized as the symbol that represents the Illuminati... a pyramid with the all seeing eye.

It seems our Wayne is one of the ''enlightened ones''

Bizarre

Tbh even if we beat them 10-0 ,they went bankrupt, and the swamp burned down the next day I'd still feel it wasnt enough. I've got a feeling yaya might just turn on the magic next week.

I actually think the tactical Turtle means to use the word if and not when He has done it before.

I used to work with a cloggie and he did exactly the same

Yep. Don't think for a second he meant what we think he did.

I believe Dutch has only one word for both when and if, just like German. I hear so many German speakers make the same mistake.
Still, he's an arrogant focker anyway.

Now that Rooney is entering the twilight of his career I'm turning my thoughts to which rag player to hate the most. In the days of the Nevilles, Butt, Keane etc, it was easy, they were all despicable as was their manager, Gill etc. Now, apart from Young and Rooney, both of whom must be on their way out I'm pretty indifferent. The likes of Mata, Blind, Darmian, Herera etc are pretty nondescript whilst Van Gaal seems like an amiable enough buffoon. Jizzer had some potential but is clearly on his way out. Hope they sign a real twat soon.

Fellaini still pretty much fills the criteria for everything I despise about the rags.

But him aside I agree with you... the rest of them are just harmlessly irrelevant or sources of amusement rather than being players that I truly hate.

He's clearly translating from German.
Get ready for the linguistics lesson.
In German If = Wenn. When = Wann. He will have wanted to say if - but translated Wenn into When.

His arrogance comes from thinking he doesn't require English lessons to correct such a simple mistake.

Agree with Van Gaal assuming he meant to say 'if'. If they win against us and go top, there is no reason to believe they cannot challenge for the title. They have already got couple of big results this season (Liverpool, Everton) and beating us would be another massive one.

Sniff? Or are you fishing?
