Villa Vs City Post Match Thread

Pellers f-cked that one up. His subs did little and the players were frustrated in that formation. KDB looked like Marty McFly after seeing the Delorian. Should have won that match.

Sack everyone then yeah? maybe we will be 10 points clear soon so you don't have to flap and throw your toys about.

Where on earth are you getting "Sack everyone then yeah" from? I am merely expressing my frustration that our manager chose to leave it until the 83rd minute of a game we desperately needed to score in to bring on our only recognised striker. How does that equal "Sack everyone"? The mind boggles.

It's not one of those games though is it. That only applies to the players giving it their all from the first to last minute. We plodded along for 60 mins.

Yes it was 1 of those games. Silly chances missed, keeper saving with his face, Villa no shots on goal on another day we'd have won 3 or 4-0 and this thread wouldn't be full of rags and kids. So yes it's most certainly 1 of those games.

At one point we had three holding midfielders and no strikers on against bottom of the league shite.

Our manager is too much of a coward to give a young striker a chance when he was by far our best option.

He's learned fuck all in his three years here, same errors over and over, and I'm fucking sick of it. We've been lucky in so many games this year, with individual qwuality getting the charlatan out of a hole, but his complete lack of bollocks and plan B are clear as day to anyone.

But hey, why face the truth when you can make fucking hilarious comments about "flappers".

Agree 100% with this, but the Pelligrini arse lickers will always defend him because he won the double two years ago (shame Mancini never got the same financial backing, 'cos we'd already be on our 3rd / 4th title by now).

Do some of you lot actually mean some of the fucking shit you say. Fucking cringeworthy. Just because kelechi is a forward doesn't mean he's 100% guaranteed to score those chances like some are suggesting, if that was the case strikers would be hitting 60 goals plus in the prem. Sterling missed an open net and all de bruyne had to do was poke it in instead of trying to be clever. We created more than enough chances in which we should have scored, forward or no forward. We absolutely battered them.
Toure was poor.
But you're far more likely to score bringing a striker on than a third defensive midfielder.

Spot on

A scary thought that Klopp is a fortnight away. Without Aguero we're not clinical and they have Klopp and Benteke who are very clinical. Don't see us winning that so we'll be even further behind.

Is Klopp a player-manager at Candlepool?

To say I feel pissed off with that display is a understatement, we played with 10 men for 78 mins thanks Yaya you piece of shit.

A little bit much. Don't you think? Abusing a Manchester city player like that is absolutely out of order.

Why did we miss easy chances? Would that be because we didn't have a striker on the pitch, who's sole job is to put away chances?! And why did we have no striker on the pitch until the 83rd minute?
De Bruyne and Sterling are more than capable of putting them away.

Navas trying to cross to a 5'6 striker - why?
Navas trying to cross - why - he's fkin back to his usual dreadful best.
Navas - the opposition's man of the match for a change - he won them most of their possession, well played
Their keeper had the most possession of all the players on the pitch
4 minutes injury time? 5 subs and god knows how much time wasted with diving.
Villa were desperate for a point and spoiled the game to achieve it - the ref was weak to allow it

Sterling needs to be fined every time he kicks the ball with his right foot in training this week. He can't have been worse than this at liverpool. I'd play him exclusively on the right

What was the point in bringing on delph?

No tempo, no cutting edge, no Aguero, no chance
Who crossed for Sterling and De Bruyne to cock it up? How Navas is receiving criticism is beyond me.

Defence did what was expected of them. Can't say the same for the forwards. That was not the fault of the coach.

Navas played well and the Vinny/Otamendi is getting better.

Just heard Henry's comments. The first thing he did was to criticise Navas. He was the best attacking player on the pitch today.

<bitter mode> had to laugh at Villa fans giving a standing ovation at the end of the game when they didn't manage a shot on target and they desperately needed the 3 points.
