Attacks in Paris

While that's true, I think that's more for historical context than for its teachings. I suspect most Christians follow the teachings of Christ and/or Paul rather than the Old Testament.

The new testament quotes Jesus several times as saying that the laws of the old testament must be followed without any deviation until the end of days. The ten commandments along with Exodus and Deuteronomy are the basis of Christian law and are a few of a very select group of writings to be accepted by all Abrahamic religions. They are the books referred to time after time by every hardliner fundamentalist Christian group.

You need to read the Trolling advice from @Ric. I fight against the objectionable views of some Muslims every day so that my family and I have also received death threats. It's a shame that you are incapable of understanding and/or accepting my words but that's a matter for you. I'll carry on asserting freedom.

In my life, I get taken for white, Jewish, Arab, Asian and many other things [depends on my level of suntan]. So I've heard everyone's tales when they think 'the other' lot are not around. Same goes for the abysmal way most men of all backgrounds talk about women. All sections of society express lazy, stereotypical views of others.

You do seem desperate to be correct and prove me wrong. I am not interested. My dick is big enough. Cheers.

So you concur that these views are not uncommon. In which case why have you constantly argued the opposite? If anyone is trolling around here it would appear to be you.

Have you actually read the trolling thread. For your convenience, here's part of it
Trolling can be defined as gratuitously or deliberately starting arguments or posting inflammatory comments designed to elicit an emotional response. This derails threads and often leads to abuse being thrown around, which is extremely annoying for the majority of users who want to have a constructive debate.
Here's a couple of things you have stated as fact in this thread:
1. 99% of Jews support crimes against Palestinians (you may have back tracked later but you were perfectly serious when you originally posted this)
2. Israel are carrying out genocide against the Palestinians (this is your opinion which is not shared by the UN and in no way fits the definition of the word)
Both of those statements are untrue and inflammatory and neither is related to the Paris attacks. So before you accuse others of trolling, have a think about what you're posting yourself.

I have to disagree there. Judaic law may come from Exodus and Deuteronomy but very few, if any, Christians adopt theses laws regarding crime and punishment, warfare, slavery, diet, circumcision, sacrifices, feast days, Sabbath observance, tithing, ritual cleanliness etc. There are numerous examples of Jesus himself not strictly adhering to these laws. Rather more emphasis is usually placed on New Testament teaching on morality and ethics which should form the basis for Christian behaviour.

Anyway we're going quite a long way off track from the topic of the Paris attacks.

I think a lot of people in this thread could do with watching this:

Thanks for that video - very informative. The words from 17.44 to 18.30 sum up the problem in debating this matter with the left. Words such as racist, trolling etc etc fit perfectly into the Lefts problems when dealing with presentation of facts on this matter. It is genuinely exasperating.

I make it a rule not to discuss such things, but this week is exceptional. I am just back from Juma at Manchester Masjid. The usual TV cameras were there, North West Tonight I think. There were many prayers to protect both this country of ours and all peoples around the world from any harm, including from those who take Islam's name in vain.

It's easy for people who have not really had to deal with religion to then lecture everyone else. That achieves nothing. It merely appears to be a device to achieve childish self-satisfaction. The world is far more serious than that. If you merely dismiss people's beliefs as nonsense, they will never have any respect for you in return.

I'm signing out of this nonsense now. Not because I care about the Trolling or having disagreement. It's merely because YOU ARE NOT ME...

Mate, the fkin U N? they are a mega corrupt organisation and you can surely see that of course it is not shared by the U N. when he who makes the rules disagrees with something then you are totally fukd, as IT IS THEM THAT MAKE THE RULES so why the fek should they agree that Palestine is gettin mashed when it is they that would have to sit up and do something about it...oooohhh cant do that when the said knuts would have to upset the zionist elite now can we. It is all a total cartooooooooooooooooooon.

Sorry for the thread deviate although i was just picking up on a point.

I don't see how that helps your argument that the problem is with the religion itself rather than those who practise it. The speaker's entire concept is that there needs to be reform. But the religion itself isn't going to reform. It is based on a book that is 1400+ years old - they aren't going to do a revised second edition. What needs to change is the way in which people practise the religion, because the religion itself by definition cannot change. But that is precisely what the people you have been arguing with in this thread have been saying - it is a sociopathic view of the religion practised by a small minority that is responsible for atrocities, not the religion per se.

Thank you for putting up the video, however, it was interesting.

No but you were quoting a survey questioning attitudes among Muslims and I'm showing that attitudes among British people appear to be just as bad in some areas. So are you going to apologise on behalf of all British people for their anti-semitism? And I suspect attitudes to Muslims are even worse, particularly in light of last week's events.

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" is the expression I believe.

And you are getting close to be considered trolling, which is an unfortunate trait of yours.

In your opinion which I have zero respect for. Burning down mosques and rather donate to Alex Ferguson than Children of Palestine appeal posts Spring to mind. Awaits 24 hour ban for speaking the truth.

When you are given some friendly advice that what you are doing could well be considered trolling then it's probably best to take heed, as opposed to stating you have no respect for that person's opinion. When that person is a moderator, whose job is to ensure people adhere to the Forum rules, one of which relates to trolling, stating you "have no respect" for their opinion could well be construed as somewhat idiotic and self defeating.

So, let me reiterate, what you are doing within this thread is getting close to being considered trolling so best to be careful you don't cross that line, something you've done previously.

I can assure you I am not "trolling" at all. I am debating.

I actually agree with you that the UN is fucking useless. It spends far too much time holding Israel to different standards than other countries. There is effectively a block vote of more than 50 Muslim majority countries that will always support any anti-Israel motion along with numerous other countries that are influenced by these countries. I'm not suggesting that the Palestinians aren't oppressed and agree that current Israeli government policies in relation to the Palestinians are wrong but if there was a genocide going on you can be sure that the UN would be all over it. The fact that the population growth rate in Palestine is not far short of 3 times the world average is hardly an indicator of genocide. Regarding your comments about the "zionist elite", you really need to take your tin foil hat off and see what's really going on in the world.

Trolling?! What are we, 12 year old girls on twitter? If you dont like what he is saying, just ignore it. Thats what i do

Do you remember how the US, UK and the rest went to war over there the last time with the support of the UN? No me neither.
The UN have rules but they are played and the the powers that play them know there are no reprisals.

Perhaps you need to read Ric's sticky on the subject. Trolling is one user posting something that is deliberately designed to get a reaction from another. Easy to say ignore it but when you push a button that is important to a user then it's more difficult to do.

Or something like that.......

I am not arguing with you - I was not posting provocatively. PB accused me of trolling which I believe I was not. I reacted and was angry and frustrated at the accusation. I drew parallels to outrageous posts PB has made in the past, we then had a discussion via pm. That's it.

I said you were possibly getting close. As I explained, I don't want to get to a position where I end up handing out bans and warnings if I can cool things down before that. You've taken that on board and everything's cool.
