We Play For You . . . .

I've not heard Bluemoon being played just before KO in a while either, heard the annoying The Boys in Blue though with the line -

" We are the Lads who are playing to win, City the boys in blue will never give in" apart from when we can't be arsed that is.

Boys in Blue is sung by the lads of the 60s and 70s including the likes of 'Blue Blood' Mike Doyle.
Alright the song is a bit cheesy but it was of it's time and these players would have walked through walls for the club.

They also had off days and results that were hard to take. One think i would say, at Least Oakes and Doyle
closed the ball and tackled instead of worrying who they could get offside ;-)

Yeah Len, I'm fully aware of the songs origins being in my 50's, as you said It's cheesy and of it's time but it's not for today in my opinion, and yes the likes of Doyle, Bell, Lee and Summerbee would of walked through walls for the club back in the day sadly those times have changed too not only at our club though but throughout the whole of the game in general.

Len Rum
That was my first ever game
Pitch at MR was pure mud
Remember Joe being beaten by Ronnie Boyce from the halfway line a la Charlie Adams

I know we've had a minutes silence/applause or a national anthem before ko so no blue moon. Was it before the Bournemouth game or even before that?

Boys in blue is a City song, ultimately it means f*ck all, but its an important part of our history, more than bluemoon for instance, its more than just history for many older fans. I'm glad its being played, and sung too.

The video is shite most of the people in it are mates of fanzone Danny and nat pike her bf being one. Bin the video pleaseeeeee it is shite.
If you want to do something like that use real fans with real opinions not someone's child and bf

We can't even organise a half time competition for you.... It amazes me they are on the payroll.

The fact you posted 4 times in 1 page of this thread suggests you're either a:
Rag
Wum
Or one of those sad bastards who prefers when we lose just so he can make criticisms on the Internet
"I'm not sad, I just want my opinion to be heard!"
4 posts mate. That's a bit much.
We get that it was a hard defeat to take but I seriously feel that a lot of "fans" on here can't wait to complain just because of how used to being shit they've gotten, or how rare they get to complain nowadays and complaining gives them a sense of power and an adrenalin rush. (what happened to laughing it off?) Calm down and wait for Wednesday like the rest of us. Delphi looked good and Kun scored on his first game back. There's a chance we take 3 points in Turin and that makes me excited.

The league isn't won/lost in this 1fixture. Liverpool are fighting for 4th. What a time to be a blue! :)
Good post.
