Arsenal away pre match thread

I am always pessimistic at the best of times but having seen pretty average sides waltz through our 'defence' recently I am terrified at what a better quality side such as Arsenal are going to do to it! I am more than happy for the Blues to make me eat my words though, more than happy!!

The key in this game is the performance of the defense and thus there is little reason to be optimistic based on what has happened this season and the injury issues. But this will be a fitting occasion for the defensive players to finally put in an assured and solid performance. It will be very impressive if we get the three points from this game.

Glad Aguero is back. We have gone for the theoretically safe and conservative approach of three in the midfield but the key is that we remain solid at the back and as long as that is the case, that is the hope, there is more than enough quality out there to win the game.

No it doesn't. Delph is a midfielder and therefore it's a midfield 3.
You've decided he's only there to protect Kolarov. I beg to differ.
True. He's the kind of player that if he spots danger in the middle, he's not going to just stand there and watch it develop. That does ease my concern a little!

I think the fullbacks are gonna get exposed. Kev and Silva will offer next to no protection for them.

They need to start as the new manager will be watching and expecting every player to work hard and do their bit.

I want City to win of course and you want Arsenal to win. But on top of that i want to see a great game of football
that frightens the rest of the league. Because, at their best, these are the two best footballing sides in it.
Leicester takes offense to that

..
then showing a graph since 2010 on silva being prems number 1 for assists , chances created (and a couple of others I forget now as a few beers have been taken)

To take off my Arsenal rose tinted specs for a min, Ozil needs to do it season in season out to be compared to Silva..

Hope its a great game, wont be coming back win or lose, prob be in A&E after the fifth heart attack

Wasn't having a dig at you. Just saying, i think Manuel has not explained himself very well.
He'll be on the left of a midfield three. I think him an Fern will sit as a two with Yaya pushed on.
A triangle if you wish.
