How would you feel if Mancini went to Chelsea? | Now linked with United (p10) and Forest (p14)

Yep, I was fucking distraught up in 202. I couldn't even contemplate going back to work the next day. However, the way we done it is now folklore, and as hard as Sky would want to ignore it, they just can't......... you just know if we'd won that game 3-0, that title win would just have been forgotten.

Oh, merry Christmas......
And to you buddy

Or you could have easily quoted any of Billyshears posts and said something similar, but no you quote a one defending Mancini, odd that SWP, even though my further post showed my support for Pellers and his success with us.

So I will reiterate my feelings again just to make them clear...

Mancini is the manager that brought me my first success as a City fan after over 35 years of following them through thin and thinner, of course I am going to feel that his spell in charge of the club was a magical time for us all but for some that isn't true, some people out there hated him from the word go and boy don't we know about that, these bitter fuckers are still at it, the whole point is the magic he created for three seasons, have you ever seen Ferguson look so broken after a game of football ?

The thing is, we also know that Mancini wasn't perfect and we are willing to admit this but certain others would just rather pretend that Mancini was a poor manager and it is this that people feel compelled to reply back too.

I agree that City fans fighting on xmas eve and now xmas day is kind of pathetic, so maybe you and your ilk should go away and think why you would rather do this than admit that it was exciting times for a while and Mancini brought us something we had never tasted for a long long time and that was success my friend.

Merry Christmas
Odd you reference me and state the bit in bold when I had already posted this:

Is it not possible to accept (and be appreciative) and agree we had some great times under Mancini and he was exactly what we needed at the time BUT also accept that his methods had a shelf life and he had to go when he left.

Anyway, merry Christmas, I'm off to go and get pissed

Has it really gotten to the point with those entrenched on both sides that on Christmas Eve, City's best Derby result ever is being used like this as if you were baiting a rag.

Is it not possible to accept (and be appreciative) and agree we had some great times under Mancini and he was exactly what we needed at the time BUT also accept that his methods had a shelf life and he had to go when he left.

It's fucking childish all this bickering neigh on three years down the line from fans supporting the same fucking club.
Spot on mate. Very good manager who was, as you rightly said, just what we needed at that time and gave us some of the most fantastic times we've ever had. But his "all or nothing" approach and lack of political/man-management skills ultimately proved to be destructive.

Let's have a Christmas truce, come out of the trenches and share the mince pies. Happy Xmas all.

I imagine if those who weren't keen on him just left it at something along the lines of your post many would have long moved on.
unfortunately there's one poster who can't help but rip him to pieces and the slagfest that follows is as predictable as night following day.
It'd be nice to move on.

Yeah it's all my fault. There'd be absolutely no problem if I just disappeared. Funny as you told me the other day I'm a joke and no one takes me seriously either.

Only on threads regarding Mancini. You can't help yourself. We know that you're not gonna change (nor would I expect or want you to) but you're smart enough to know what reactions you'll get when you go off on a Mancini rant, or worse a rant at those who still hold him in high regard.
Not sure what the answer is but it'd be nice to put it all behind us once and for all.
Merry Christmas.

I asked the same thing earlier this morning, and it seems to have fallen on deaf ears. Some on here (ON BOTH SIDES) just seem to be spoiling for an argument. Sad that they can't leave it for today.

I can't help but defend the club I support over an individual they sacked. I won't be apologizing for that anytime soon. Merry Christmas to you too.

What ?

Odd to reference you, you quoted me and I replied lol are you sure you haven't already been drinking.

Again I think you will find the part bolded is meaningless to me as I have never argued against that point anywhere in this thread, which is why I wonder why you quoted my post in the first place tbh.

The bit people have trouble with is the likes of shears just basically not giving him any credit for anything, that is the oddest part of all the arguing, he tore that sign down from their shithole and put trophies in the cabinet, no other City manager had managed to do that in all my time supporting the club, man is a city legend whether some like it or not.

Hey, don't open the link and read it, then moan at the content you expected to read all along lol :p

Happy Xmas Jim :)

Don't mind it most of the time Alf. Let's face it, this place is one "massive" (!) argument supermarket at times. I just thought it would be great if people could leave it for one day. Is that really too much to ask?

Merry Christmas to you and yours Alf.

He helped create a better team than we have now. More fight, desire and passion in them and that was down to him. Manuel was apparently what the players and club wanted and needed but we have hardly excelled under his stewardship.

Absolutely he is a legend. I have no problem with anyone saying that. The only time I get pissy is when people slag off the club for sacking him as they didn't do that in a vacuum or for shits and giggles.

He did great things with us and we should all be thankful for him for that but at some point everyone needs to chill the fuck out. He is gone. Pellegrini will go and hopefully we will get a complete manager that can take us to the next level.

Well amen to that part, I want at least 10 years of true dominance just to put the nail into that rag coffin and not least for a bit of pay back for our lean times, it would be interesting to see how they would cope if the last 30 years or so happens to them.

Unfortunately the Glazers will sell up to some super rich guy who will buy them back in the right direction and there will be no Leeds tribute act from the rag bastards :(

Memories have been made by this man that will not be erased by the likes of Billy Shears and his gang of Mancini hating weirdos.

I also celebrated when Pellers won the title but nothing will beat the first time after a lifetime of waiting.
And some on here would make you feel guilty about loving Mancini for this ! Maybe it never happened at all ! Maybe they were never at this game and never saw Mancini going out of his mind when we won it.
Naaa he's just a shit manager who never won or achieved anything ;)
