Singing section

Considering the game was done as dusted early the lads and lasses just to the right of me in 115 did a great job in keeping it going.

It just need those in my block 116 and 117 to help them more.

If you're sat in the family stand or Colin bell where noise is frowned upon then maybe it doesn't appear to be very loud from over there but 114/115 was good today,

Started off incredibly against Chelsea then died down a bit when the smaller teams came and brought less fans or we wasn't performing. However, It's picking up again and there's an increasingly larger group that sing more and more every game regardless of what's going on on the pitch. Was never going to be instantly amazing every game, these things take time, there's still an awful lot of people in 114 and 115 that don't want to sing, That's their choice, and that's fine but i'm not sure why they choose to sit there. Hopefully, they'll move elsewhere next season and more can join and perhaps even spread to the rest of the south stand. There's a staggering small amount of our fans that want to make noise anymore.

Credit to the other "singing section" in 111 today too. They were a hell of a lot louder than they have been recently. The banter can be funny on occasions, particularly when there's an empty/silent away section but there shouldn't be a rivalry of sorts. It may take a while, but we'll get the two sides in sync someday...

Today there was a lot of singing in the CB L1, as well as around the ground. People seemed to have bursts of song now and again. So it wasn't too bad today. Mind you it could have been the Christmas 'spirit'!! ;-)

I took my son today, so was at the opposite end of the ground but thought the atmosphere was alright. Sounded OK to me. Think the injury to Kompany resulted in a slightly subdued last 20 minutes though.

Singing seemed pretty vocal to me today from where I was sat. Would say fair few times songs were going from different sections & getting mistimed. going at different times trying to sync up eventually leading to everyone giving up pretty quickly.

Died down a bit after Kompany got injured, killed off the atmosphere really.

pointless people like awest moaning about the noise from south lower, if you care that much MOVE TO THAT AREA !!! You had months to do so , it was well publicised. Credit to the fans that did move and who are belting out the songs and trying to improve things, despite having hundreds of waiting list supporters in with them because not enough people chose to move. you don't really care awest do you, it's just moaning for the sake of it - let's see you move to south lower in the summer when the season tickets are out next time, then you can play a full part mate !

As far as I'm concerned, the only people entitled to complain about the atmosphere are people actually in the singing areas making the noise, not the silent masses

Credit to the 1894 group for pushing for the singing section, I think the atmosphere has improved and can only get better, especially if some of the moaners got off their arses and moved to that section of the ground.

Rome wasn't built in a day!

If some folk put their energy into singing and not moaning that alone would help ! I thought it was decent yesterday in 115 although the VK injury put a dampener on things for 10 minutes or so.

I think a little more credit should be given to the coaning munts @ the CB for highlighting the need for a better atmosphere and galvanising others into action. With Werthers being chain-chomped it would be unfair to ask them to participate themselves - they certainly can't be expected to sing when they're sucking.

This is a constructive moan following on from my previous post, which was replied to by........(apologies, will have to go back and find the post/poster)

As many of you know I stand in 115 and sing as much as I can along with the other singers in 115. :-)

A few weeks back I tried to make a few honest points.

Yesterday I was in 212, sat with my Mrs, so I had a good opportunity to asses the atmosphere from a different part of the ground.

At times the atmosphere was good. I think good is a fair way to describe it. It wasn't brilliant or bad. TBH, regardless of which match you were at on Boxing Day, most if not all the atmosphere's at other grounds were probably flat due to the excesses of Christmas Day.

The singing after the goals was good. The same when Vinny came on. During other periods of the match it was quiet. Blocks 111 and 110 underneath me sounded decent in parts. I noticed the front and middle of 109 was sat down for most of the match. Looks like City have got their way in 109. No doubt it will be different for the big matches coming up.

As for 115. I could see the middle and bottom of the block. TBF I could hear them during parts of the game, but because of where I was sat, I could hear 110 , 111, and the Sunderland fans on level 2 more. As we've always said, the design of the stadium doesn't make for great acoustics.

During the match I knew 1894 and other singers were continually singing at the back of the block, but you can't hear them due were they are stood, under level 2/the overhang. It's not my place to tell them where to stand, but they need to move further down the block to the middle of the block, or at least in front of the overhang, rather than underneath it, so they can be heard more. I don't know if that's possible now season tickets and seats have already been allocated this season, but if possible, it should be looked at next season. With a large group of singers grouped together in the middle of the block, in-front of the overhang, it will create a better atmosphere in 115, which will be noticed and picked upon more by other parts of the stadium.

Do you sit in the CB?? Do you know exactly what goes on in the CB?? Have you noticed how many more 'tourists' there are in the CB recently??

We do NOT chew Werthers (or even chain chomp). We DO participate. All right not every single person but we do join in and in fact sometimes start songs without the singing section. We are all MANCHESTER CITY SUPPORTERS and this constant moaning that certain areas of the ground don't join in is wearing a bit thin now. Just you concentrate on your singing and leave us to concentrate on ours thank you!!!

How can I or anyone else really know what goes on in the twilight zone that is the CB? Do you? The last time I was over that way I got grief for standing on the corner of someone's tartan blanket, got told to shush for calling Pearce a useless tosser, and to be honest you couldn't move in the bogs at half time for coffin-dodgers furtively passing round little gold wrapped things to each other - but not a steward in sight (too busy harassing those of us that just need a quick half time cig with our pint!). As for blaming the Tourists - wow - put the Daily Mail down and take a look what's really going on around you.
