Everton post-match thread

I love a little banter with opposition fans, it makes football worthwhile in a way. But these losers who come on here with no other mission than to be a cock, i cant stand that. This AFC guy is one of them.

I dont even mind them being arseholes so long as they re-appear if/when their team crashes and burns and face the music. But this guy did a Houdini-esque disappearing act after their Southampton game.

You have a very selective memory. Second season under Mancini, we had no width and teams soon figured that they could pack the defences and shut us down. We lost the title by a country mile to an extremely ordinary United side. Easy on the eye if you were a fan of the Scum for sure, yes.

He lost the dressing room that season because he told a few home truths! The team was never bullied of the park though like this one

Sorry bit late to comment but did anybody notice before Gareth Barry made the cross for the winning goal, he had enough time to consume 2 cups of tea, 1 BLT and a small bowl of rice pudding - surprised the boys didn't try to block the cross or exploit the situation given the amount of time they had to stop the cross

I agree we were easy to work out and it wasn't scintillating football but we only lost 6 league games all that season, we've already lost 5 this season. We may well go on sensational unbeaten run and have a great year but at the moment it doesn't look like it.

Indeed.

Just look at Baines last night and the way he positions himself and the amount of crosses he either stops or at least deflects.

Its down to hunger and wanting to do it, thats all.

By Dionysus sake!, 61 pages after another narrow defeat. Still to read all of them as they are, as usual, very informative, reasonable, centred, supportive and not flapping nor moaning at all.

Anyway, the individual in charge of blowing the instrument to direct the proceedings was an utter incompetent and bent one. The poor remedy of a human being showed a yellow card for naught to Delph, while Besic -for repeatedly trying to injure Silva- was shown sweet fanny Adams; a massive blatant stone wall penalty to Navas, unsurprisingly not awarded; the Toffees first goal with a passive offside from Lukaku in Willy's way, and so. What was its name again? Madley?

Still ninety tense minutes to go, nothing is lost yet.
Hope Mangala's injury is not serious as Micho is still rusty for lack of games. And Navas scored!.

I think we can overturn it but the goal last night was more important not because we will scrape a 1-0 but that we will almost certainly concede one goal which we pretty much always do at home. We haven't had a clean sheet since Watford, 13 games ago! I think we will probably need to score 3 goals to win in normal or extra time.

Leicester away.

think most are just fed up of the same monotonous shite we've had to endure for most of this season, last nights performance was just another in a long list of dismal performances

It seemed churlish to post anything about Bobby Madley's performance after we were soundly beaten by Liverpool. However, this time he had even more of an influence on the Everton game. I'm well aware of our shortcomings in the performance but it wasn't too bad and had we had our stonewall penalty given we'd have got away with a draw.
Madley is an awful referee who seems to have a problem with us. The advantages he gave Liverpool at the Etihad were akin to Rugby Union in terms of length of time the advantages were allowed before pulling play back if nothing materialised. No such luxury afforded to us as a couple of advantages quickly fizzled out. Of course, I'm missing out the bleeding obvious stonewall penalty.

Did I mention the penalty?

He's a cheating bastard and as rotten as Peter Walton-but and its a big but he wasn't the ref against Liverpool that was Moss who in comparison to Madley is like Pierluigi Colina

We neec to get back to pinning teams in there own half and dominating games we seem more happy to play on the counter at the moment which doesn't suit our players imo!

I saw the penalty on SSNakesTV this morning and never has there been a more blatant and obvious trip. It begs the question: if the referee thinks that isn't a trip, what has got to happen before he classifies a tackle as a trip. It can't be a theatrical descent to the ground as Howie Redshirt suggests that Aguero's arms disqualified any award despite what went on between attacker's and defender's thighs, so let's have it from MadMan Madeley how he would describe a trip. And I'll wager my season ticket on the basis of his definition that last night's 'innocuous coming together' qualifies. Was the lino on that side? If so he couldn't have been more than ten or fifteen yards from scene.

Wonder what score the in-stand assessor gave the ever-woeful Madeley?

I fancy we might have to suffer this nincompoop another five times this season.

This.

Have staunchly defended Pellegrini but no longer.

Can't see any prospect of our form turning round anytime soon.

We are hanging on by our fingernails in all competitions at the moment but think that is all smoke and mirrors and am not we are gonna compete in any of them.

I'm just glad the league isn't a knock-out competition.
