Cup Final for the Blue Dippers of little interest for us in the grerater scheme . We must rest Kun for this one and the Villa match. We have 3 big season defining matches coming up soon. However, Pellegrini will see this as his best chance of a trophy this year and will go for it. I'm afraid some people on here also see this minor competition as important and as someone who has been through the desert and suffered I can see why. But the C1 is a distraction we can do without to be honest. We should concentrate on the bigger picture!!!

What a load of rubbish. We won't be resting anyone for this game, least of all Kun Aguero who's just playing his way back to sharpness. No City player, or staff member, or fan sees this game as "of little interest" or "a distraction". The reason some managers don't prioritise this competition is if they have thin squads and don't want the 6-8 extra games. We have a big squad and have already played all the game except 2s, and we've shown our intent with the teams we have picked for every round.

Of course we will be at full strength and take the game seriously. Nonsense to suggest otherwise.

i'm all for resting players in the early rounds but at this point we need to get through to the final, regardless of the prestige of this trophy they all count. There are only 4 possible trophies to go for and this one may be a starting point to a great season.
