Will there be an apology from the media ?

Why bleat anyway, we won and are in the Final, fuck the media. Too much whinging and demanding apologies and we'll start sounding like Miserysiders.
Because we get awful coverage compared to everyone else. I don't want an apology from anyone, I'm too busy buzzing my bollocks off about a trip to Wembley - it doesn't mean I can't take a second to acknowledge how fucking reprehensible this countries written and broadcast media are.

I got pissed off at Sky walking with a camera around a half empty stand 25 minutes before kick off. I'm sure they've not done that before and certainly didn't see it at Herr Klopps house Tuesday.

Makes you laugh, we are essentially a traditional club with an 'ordinary' fan base (and I mean that in a complimentary way of course) who have to make time and find money for lots of games. The media and press are a bunch of red-misted pricks whose only football fun is having sly digs at us. Meanwhile, we're off to Wembley (again)........

See Ferguson was there last night he must have been confused when the home team scored in the first half

This is where i’m coming from. Seeking apologies from the media is exactly the sort of thing that I would expect on RAWK or the SadCafe. We should aspire to be better. Threads that call out the inaccuracies in the media are fine by me but titles along the lines of this one or the ‘Agenda Thread’ are an embarrassment and need to be stopped.

It pains me to say it mate, but I did a bit of googling to see if we had broken any records and unfortunately the only records relate to us at our stadium. Sadly the scum had 56,000 against Ipswitch in round 3 this year, so I would imagine our 50,000 is not that spectacular overall.
20,000 empty seats
Thought that was only us

That was the rags' 'official' Pyongyang inspired attendance. The independently verified attendance was 34,569 which included 5,000 Ipswich fans. I know a couple of rags who went to that game and they confirmed what online photos showed - i.e. there were vast swathes of empty seats. Apparently when the PA announced the 56,000 figure many in the crowd just laughed out loud.

There would have been 20,000 ST holders that were forced to buy the tickets due to the ST rules that didn't turn up.

Their game with Miniland in the Eurotinpot will be interesting. For some reason they didn’t think to include that competition in their compulsory cup scheme so the attendance should reflect genuine tickets sold. I would think it would be on TV as well given it is the Biggest Club in the World ™ and the novelty of them playing in a competition that is clearly beneath them will appeal to Thursday night TV viewers.

This will be one where the attendance won't be announced.

Unlike CL or FA Cup games rag ST holders are exempted from the obligation to buy League Cup tickets. It's an opt in system. As only those ST holders who are on the voluntary League Cup scheme are obliged to buy Europa League tickets this season it'll be interesting to see the official and actual attendances for the Midtjylland game.

If you wade through the rubbish in the article, there is a very fair comment by Sheedy's left peg, presumably an Evertonian but it does sum up the reality of the attendance and the attitude of the media rather nicely.

How many tickets did City get for the first leg?

I've always argued against bans but it's time the Mirror Group were told they're no longer welcome at the Etihad. And if that includes the MEN then so be it. There is clearly an anti-City/pro-rag agenda there. I know from conversations I've had that they get about 7-10 times the number of hits for the rags than they do for us, which no doubt drives that agenda. Better still, the Sheikh should buy them and burn them down with all those bitter bastards locked inside .

Heard that twat on with Cundy on talk shite call our ground the Emptihad when referring to where we'd just trounced Everton.
That's right folks the biggest crowd at a LC semi for years and more than 8 thousand more than the grievers had at Klanfield last night. What a ****....
But fear not there is no media bias as I'm assured by various mooners!

Do you recall the disgraceful public shaming of City fans (including shaming by some people who I wont name cos I think they are on here) before the Benjani Derby? BEFORE!
Right. No bias. Right. So questions in parliament and every news source you can think of all hammering away based on...what? What record? What prior bad acts where introduced into evidence suggestive of the need to begin a campaign to head the bitter Citeh scum off at the pass before they fucked up the global munich lies wankfest? Then attempting to blame fireworks set off by rag scrotes on blues? GMP actually said it was not City fans. Then you all recall that awful piece having a pop at our arab owners for being arab and the picture chosen to headline it...Lee Rigby on the scoreboard in memoriam.

Perhaps bias is not the word we are looking for.
