Capitol 1 Final K.O. time

I ordered the train tickets in late Dec. at a very reasonable cost from Virgin Trains. Nothing arrogant about taking a punt on cheap travel, more a calculated risk. And if City don't win on Wednesday I still get a day out in London for a very reasonable £37 incl tube travel.
Bump.
My gamble/punt on a cheap return train journey to London has paid off in spades after last nights result. And I have just arranged to meet my nephew at a pub near Euston to pass away a few hours until I am ready to get the tube to Wembley.

This means Sky will after cancel Liverpool vs Everton and Newcastle vs Manchester City .
Can't understand why Sky picked these two games .
I mean Liverpool vs Everton ,about two teams that used to be good in the 80s

Already got a reserved seat on the 19.57 train. Because I booked so early,Richard Branson is going to personally escort me to my seat and make sure that no scallies are sat in my place. Now that is what I call service.

You will do well to make that if it goes to ET and pens. Game will finish about 6.25, if ET around 7.10 and then pens 7.30.

I'm booked on the 8.35 train coming back. If it goes to ET and pens even I might be struggling to make that train. It might not have been an issue if we were at our usual end at the west side of the stadium as you can either use Wembley Stadium station to get to Marylebone and on to Euston from there or Wembley Central to go straight to Euston. But being on the east side, it would take ages to get round to those stations on the west side while we've only got Wembley Park tube on our side and I've read today that it typically could be a 30-45 minute wait to get on the tube for events played at the stadium in front of a full house.

Be selective about where you choose your seat at the stadium. Gives you a better chance of saving 15/20 mins queuing. Low tier, close to an exit, end of a row. It all helps.

These kick off times are so fan unfriendly all to accommodate Sky. Not only that the trains in this country are awful. Why do they stop so early?

It goes to show they don't care about the fans.
We all know they don't but this is a really good KO time. Don't have to get up at the crack of dawn and get a good drinking session in before the game and will be home by midnight to the early hours so not even that late.

Kids can just get an early night on the Monday and by Tuesday will be caught up with their sleep.

On the 8.15 from Euston, should be enough time to make it even with extra time although I am hoping we will have had it won after 60 then cruise through the last half hour!

In addition all trains will be made dry well in advance and will be full of dozens of coppers staring at fans as if they are mass murderers. Modern football.

To be fair, the trains home on that day are running later than on a Saturday - last train home on a Sunday is 9.51 I think, whereas on a Saturday it's 9pm. That was a big issue when we played Wigan in the FA Cup final wth it being a 5.15 (or was it 5.30?) kick off but as we were on the West side we were handily placed for Wembley Stadium station and dived out bang on full time - we only had to queue for about 10 minutes and were back at Marylebone some 15 minutes after that. Then it was a short taxi ride to Euston and we even had time for a scoop in the station bar.

I was going to get cheap tickets up in the gods but may go for the lower tier now and choose one of the blocks that's handily placed for Wembley Way after the game.

I have booked a room at the Ibis at Wembley as there is little chance of making it back to Kings Cross to get a train back to Edinburgh. I did the same for the final against Sunderland. It was a great night in the hotel drinking with the Mackems.

I'm in there as well. Friday to Monday, making a long weekend of it so the docs can't tell me off!! I stayed there the last time we were at Wembley as well. Great place to stay, friendly staff & not too expensive on the wine front!!

Why are we giving a fuck about an all Scouse cup final...?

I would think that only a minority of Mancs, Dippers, Narf Londoners would want a derby final. I remember the semi - bag of nerves for days and the entire ninety odd minutes was almost unbearable, particularly after we had scored. Every time I thought of a reverse I felt dreadful.

It's what the RagDipperMeedya want. The thought of Dippers losing to EFC and us losing to The Swamp Donkeys, and the Arse losing to Spuds in a final might be a burden fans could do without.
