To be honest, I don't think they (or any of the other papers) believe that shit when they write it. They just know it'll generate clicks linking him with United or Arsenal, so I don't think they're bothered if it's accurate or not.

The "front" of their paper is full of misreporting and lies but it's led their website to be the 1# most visited in the world. Scary really.

Don't know where their sport/football section ranks in web hits but I imagine it's near the top.

However, it is not just sport that the DM desecrates, their political reporting is definitely not to be laughed at, pure poison parcelled up and presented as news.
There is enough voters in this country who believe the press are incapable of lying, "it must be true it was in the papers".
There was a time when the papers had a reputation to live up to,

On the Sunday Supplement they were talking about awards the other day. I was completely lost - were they saying that the tabloid journalists weren't represented well or that the broadsheets weren't. I was sort of shocked by the topic...as had absolutely nothing to do with football but I couldn't for the life of me understand their points. I'd genuinely love if someone was watching, got the gist and would like to share.

What I thought I heard one guy say was that the tabloids journalists wrote 10-20 stories a day so deserved praise. But if that was really what he was saying then wouldn't that imply that the dirty f*cker made up 10-20 stories per day as he'd have no effin time to verify anything?

IMO they should be in jail for fraud... along with those f*ckers that wrote Lost.
