Time to give them a good go at it. What have we got to lose? We've found ourselves in a position where we've played shite, and let's not dress it up any other way it has been shite since October time. We've got 13 or 14 fully fit first team players yet got 4 competitions to contend with.

Iheanacho came on today and wasn't great but along with Aguero got bugger all service. When he did, he almost made something out of nothing at 1-3 when he managed a superb flick through to Zabaleta.

Celina came on and immediately looked better than Silva. All be it Silva's playing through an injury, why bother if we've got guys like that who can come in. He kept the ball well, used it well and set up Aguero's goal brilliantly. He's a dead ball threat into the bargain too.

Is there a better time to start using these lads more often and in bigger games than now? What's the alternative? Stick to the bang average first team players and hope for the best?

If Pellegrini was staying, he would soon send anyone with promise out on loan where they might get game time but at the same time risk being forgotten by our Management, or worse still get their minds twisted away from City. I wait to see what happens with Denayer and Roberts but I expect Guardiola will have a complete rebuild plan and with this installed then he might have no knowledge or no need for such players I name. Rather than being loaned out, players like these should have had at least a couple of bench places reserved for them. What is needed is for them to become part of the squad collection rather than to be sent away and forgotten.

It was interesting to see three EDS lads on but I cannot understand putting them on when we're down, why don't they get a decent show when the game's going our way!

That is far too logical. It is a bit like giving a kid no game time and then chucking him upfront and out of position like last season.

Celina looked more dangerous in 10 minutes than Silva did for the whole match. And with our injuries that's a good thing as he may end up having to start next weekend.

looked smart and keen to impress when he came on

looks promising all these youngsters creeping into the squad

By all accounts Angelino is impressing again in the EDS today, 1-0 up at Liverpool at half time.

Kolarov has proved time and time again that he's not up to it. Clichy, although a bit more solid defensively offers little going forward.

Really, what have we got to lose by giving Angelino a start next week? We're not picking a lad off the street and sticking him in a blue jersey, this is a lad who's been sticking out with our EDS side for some time and had played senior football all be it at a lower level than the PL.

Celina proved yesterday that these lads are hardly about to embarrass the club, so what's the point in sticking to the same turgid shite week in week out whilst hoping for a different outcome?

Use them.

I agree with you completely. These players won't lose us a game and there is plenty of that already happening in the squad when they aren't playing.

Use them.

Angelino is less defensively sound than Kolorov and the nasty fuckers that boo our own players will have a field day the first time he is caught upfield doing his attacking style stuff, it could ruin the poor lad.

This should have been done earlier in the season, at Sunderland in the cup, against Palace and Hull in the cup and at Villa and Norwich in the cup.

We could easily have started some of these lads in those games. Not 5/6 in one but certainly 2/3. It would have also given some of the senior players a rest.

Those games would have given them experience and enabled one to step in now.

As it is they won't be risked because Pellegrini doesn't do risks.

Less defensively sound than Kolorov? Is that possible?

I disagree, other than size and experience,in every respect he is at least the equal of kolarov, his intelligence, vision and speed are superior imo, defensively he has certainly improved from his pre loan days. Some of his link play with Barker today was excellent,i really dont see us being any worse off with this kid on the field.
