Last Monday by Pelligrini could ruin our season.
Lucky against Sunderland and they couldn't be arsed today.
I fear the weeks ahead..

to be fair we have played shit before that as well, lucky against Watford, shit at Everton.... hammered against Liverpool at home, hammered at Spurs and Stoke

sad thing is, almost nobody looks interested....

because most of them are not used/can't be arsed to work their socks off .....pep will demand 100% from every one of them and tbh from that team today only hart ota dinho and aguero will walk right now in a pep team

ota?????????? he's permanantly on his arse, I have never seen a central defender more floor bound in my life

I was thinking the same thing. We have been poor before the announcement but this team is not right. I have no doubts that Pep will sort it out, but I think now it will be revolution not evolution. We need a team that is more than the sum of it's parts not one that is less like this one.

Apart from the first five games we have been consistently awful all season. The results have flattered us on so many occasions. Individual pieces of skill or luck have won us countless games we didn't deserve to win. If anything I hoped the statement would invigorate our team but nothing has changed and the team put in another liverpool style performance.

I fear February is going to be a defining month and the way we are playing we could come out with nothing

I don't buy it. The players have known for months so the statement being made shouldn't have made a jot of difference.
We've just got too many passengers and a manager who has run out of ideas as well as a horrendous injury problem.
I was starting to get optimistic again after snatching a few undeserved points recently but it looks like that was just papering over the very big cracks.

err hang on. Are you saying Pellers courted and signed Pep? Or maybe that MP went rogue and made the announcement without club sanction?
Madness - the club recruited Pep and they allowed him the dignified step of telling the press it was a done deal and with his blessing as it were.
Any idea that as a result MP will just throw all 4 trophies or that the players rather than playing to impress Pep will instead just crawl to the end of the season without trying is just conspiracy theorist bullshit - we lost today thats it - no need for all this knee jerk reaction on here.

Or we could lose the game against Leicester on the 6th Feb and win the rest................... depression laden doom mongering is a waste of time

Given our poor record against top half sides, I think it's reasonable to suggest there were other factors which caused today's defeat rather than poor results.

Ridiculous if it is the case though. Firstly because they should be looking to impress the new boss, and secondly because they should want to send Pellegrini off in style.
(then again, some people say that the players threw away a cup final to spite Mancini so who knows)
