At the end of the day I knew what it meant, so it was fit for purposeyeah, i assure you it's a word, dear fellow.
not exactly one in common usage i'll grant you, but a beautiful word nonetheless.
even if it wasn't, there's no reason why it couldn't be,
it makes perfect sense.
anyroad, shirley dictionaries are only for reference, they are not the law or owt.
english is a bastard language developing day-by-day and has been doing so over many centuries.
it is the greatest language ever because we can play with it as we see fit, so long as we follow the simple guidelines.
dictionaries are always catching up.
i know a young rapscallion on a bmx who calls me brudda when i furnish him for his wares,
i doubt brudda is in the dictionary, but it's a nice word.
