Silva is anything but fit which is the main reason I wanted Sterling to start instead. He might have been involved in 41 games but he's hardly played the full 90 in every one.Not picking Sterling made perfect sense if you take the time to actually think about it.
He's played 41 games - more than anyone else in the squad.
He was our only attacking midfielder fit at one point, he's had to play loads to pick up the slack from KDB, Silva, Nasri and Navas' injuries.
And now Navas and Silva have come back to fitness he can get a rest.
