I know we're in the quarters of the champions league but I think this is our lowest point for the last 6-7 years. I just desperately want it to be the end of the season and hopefully top 4

The difference, desire. Simple as that. United road their luck in the second half but we gifted them so much space and time in that first half! Disgusting.
 
Remember how Pellegrini was so desperate to sign Demichelis 3 years ago that we had to buy Toby Alderweireld for Atletico as a replacement?

Atletico went onto win La Liga, and Alderweireld is now the best defender in the Premier League on current form.
