Trouble yesterday

It was even worse outside when the police laid into some of our fans who were just walking back to the coach when a young lad was set upon by rags fans and the police started striking with their batons as his dad and a friend tried to get him away and back to us!

All the announcements in the ground kept saying they were keeping the rags in after the game so what happened to that then?
He's got a broken hand by the way from the Police hitting him with the batton

My best mate got arrested before the match for cracking a cocky rag round the back of the ground..the rag was mouthing it after getting out of a taxi with his mates all the way in the short walk they had to make..got cracked off another blue before my mate got hold of him further up the road..unfortunately he did it right in front of the police and instantly got nicked..was released later on with a fine

Was disappointed a few Blues were getting involved saying to leave the rag alone..he was being a total ****

Getting too old to even listen to this crap let alone be involved in it.

Knuckle draggers on both sides.

How you could want to punch a stranger in the face and get a criminal record and all the hassle that goes with it is completely beyond me.

If some lunatic had come upto me singing Manchester is red - I would simply have smiled and walked on.

They are from Salford many of them so you have to excuse them.

How much fine did he get out of interest?

You'll be pleased to know I was a good boy and your SC is safe :-)

I followed the game on Radio Manchester and the rag commentator Can't remember his name) referred to mither at the end of the game, said Blues were giving it the aeroplane in attempts to wind them up, he couldn't fucking wait to say it in an effort to counterbalance all the shit they've had over behaviour in the 2 Liverpool games.

There was plenty of aeroplane stuff going on.

A large number of football fans are thick. Life is hard for them as it is and this escape is all some of them have. There was a bloke kicking off with another blue in SS3 and he had his wife and kid with him. The mind boggles at times. To be honest after the game I couldn't muster up any hostility at all. I went into the game thinking we would lose and we did. This season is over for me.

Bill Rice, GMR's rag apologist. Couldn't wait to lay into the City fans saying they'd all stayed behind just to wind the rags up. Never mentioned anything about the Liverpool chants or the banner over the motorway did he?

Bang on mate, he was fucking loving it, even 5 minutes after the game had finished he was still harping on about it. Cheesy does my swede in sometimes but I missed him yesterday.

Walk back to town was where most arrests were made (11 in total apparently) saw someone kick the shit out of a police officer who was taken by ambulance afterwards and saw mounted officers targeting individuals up Ashton new road. Many in handcuffs because of fighting and goading eachother.

Police officer outside the ground (where the buses park) pushed someone against a bus and as he rebounded off the bus he hit him in the knee with a baton! Thought it was pretty brutal Tbf.

I can't comment on the stuff going on outside the ground, or what happened in the family stand, but I can tell you about South Stand Level 1 after the final whistle.

I work for Showsec (save your slating posts for another time :) ), and I was ashamed of our fans yesterday. I got spat on, coins thrown at me, punched in the face and kicked in the legs. The United fans didn't help the situation by goading our fans, but some of the behaviour on show yesterday was shocking.

I love working at City, but being stood inbetween those 2 sets of fans yesterday was pretty terrifying.

To be fair, most of our 'fans' were kids (anyone under 20 to me), but the United fans were all adults and should have known how to behave themselves.

They did seem rather free with there use of batons and there was a mounted WPC loosing it on the walk back to Piccadilly
Some rag prick came over and tried to sniper my son who was just in front of us I pulled my lad away and my mate shoved the rag away told him to fuck off. No punches not even a slap.
At this point a FlatCap just smashed my mate with his baton when I told him to pack it in he belted me then went for my son, I stood in front of my son so he hit me again, my son pleaded with him to stop but he went for me again my son tried to block the baton and he hit my son on his hand (breaking it in two places). Not happy enough he then turned back on my pal and hit him another two times All this as the real trouble was down the road

I would have been infront of you and can safely say the police weren't helping/over reacting in my view, I'm not anti police but their reaction seemed ott I thought they were targeting blues far more than reds but might have just been my blue specs

Strange as they do exactly that when we play at the swamp! They police the derby games totally differently, never understood why unless of course the GMP has been infiltrated by rags

What's 'Sniper' ?
Outrageous behaviour from the police, they assume everyone is a thug even though you could be just defending yourself!

Can't say I'm surprised to be honest.
Biggest thugs that go to football are the police, I swear half the reason they let fans out at the same time are so they can get stuck in.
I hope you are putting an official complaint in? Not that it'll do any good.
