Can't believe people still think Alaba would play at City next season after recently signing a new 5 year contract.Hart

I don't think he will but you never know. The 5 year contract just means they can get more money for him.
Yeah it is abit pointless to be fair. Do you think city would have a shot at Bernat mate?

While that is most definitely more true than other teams, Bayern still does it. Hell, their CEO won 2 Ballon D' Ors and scored the most goals in Germany his final season...and then was sold for a record price. Also, you could say Bastian last year. He was only 30, German captain, 500 appearances for the club, just won the WC, sold. Was not running out of contract. You don't know Bayern then. Can't remember the last key player that we sold who wasn't running out of contract. If he intended to leave in the future he wouldn't have extended. His contract would've run out 2018 and if he wanted to leave he would've done so next summer. Absolutly no chance.
Probably. Altough I don't think he's that good.

Schweinsteiger? Really? You mean the guy who always said he wants to play in England and who spent more time watching from outside than playing?
I'm sure you could imagine why comparing him with Alaba is non-sense. He was a completely disposable player. If I'm not completely mistaken he had 1 year left, that's what I understand under "running out of contract".
Letting him go was a decision made by general agreement. He wanted a new challenge, we had the opportunity to cash on him and Guardiola never liked him anyway.
I say it again, if Alaba wanted to leave us in the near future he wouldn't have extended his contract for 3 more years, unless he's a naive little boy.
A bit off-topic, but same story for Lewandowski by the way. If he wanted to join Real Madrid so desperatly he would've done so in 2014 or even 2013 instead of keeping his promise to us and signing a 5-year deal.
Definitely. And my apologies, did not know he was on the last year. But true, I do realize that's a stretch with Bastian. Lew is a weird one though because in the beginning on the season it seemed like he was falling out of favour with Pep. Then 5 goals in what 10 minutes? Then went on a tear. Hope he stays in Munich. Definitely jealous of the retention the club has (even though obviously City needs big changes)
