Get to the Etihad for the 2nd leg!

I really don't give a toss about the CL. What do people not understand about this. I find it about as relevant as a pre-season tournament.

Well the players certainly give a toss, they seem to be saving themselves for this competition.

What does being a mod have to do with anything? I'm entitled to express my opinion like any other poster. The club is slowly but surely becoming everything we've always hated about the rags. And our fans are becoming the arrogant, entitled bunch their fans are. City, City ra ra ra.

what is it you want city to be? genuine question

Biggest tournament in the world, arguably bigger than the World Cup

The club is slowly becoming an elite side in Europe who can mix it with the big boys. That's as high as you can get in club football. UEFA is bigger than City and the Champions League don't give a flying f*** if City fans don't want to embrace the competition. I'm sure they are more than happy with the established elite.
The attitude of a significant number of our supporters isn't really helpful to anyone or anything and no one else really cares. They will carry on embracing the competition regardless.
Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion and if you aren't happy with the pricing of matches then simply don't go. Me? I'm happy to pay my £40 and be part of what will hopefully be a great night on Tuesday.

Or pay £44 for a WBA ticket, i cant believe the flak for CL ticket prices.

PSG CL Qtrfinal Vs WBA Saturday teatime?

20000...., the ground holds 80000 ish, I'd expect at least 35000 over there, so long as ticket prices are reasonable.?!
The finalists will probably only get allocated 20,000 if they're lucky. The other 40,000 will go to the UEFA "family" many of whom will no doubt sell them on for profit.

Fair enough people not liking the competition or whatever. But personally I just enjoy watching us play, don't give a toss if it's Bournemouth or PSG. We're in the quarter's of a cup, don't care if it's League Cup or Champions League, still happy to watch us play & hope we win.

Paid something like £10 to go watch City Gladbach in the group stages & it was a fantastic night, fantastic match & Juve lost, we topped the group & then got to watch United get knocked out in the group stages on the screen.

I suppose people boycotting this competition & having little interest works out great for someone like me who is just happy to watch us play anyone in anything.

It's a shit, manufactured, money obsessed competition, shaped by a group of clubs that hate us and everything we stand for and run by a bunch of corrupt cunts who think they're above the law. Give me the League Cup any day of the week.

Funny, you just described the premier league

Guess you don't want us to win that too then

If Pb doesn't like it he doesn't like it. He doesn't have to have the Spanish Inquisition. Thousands of ST don't go to this and I'm sure some can afford it. They just mustn't be taken by it.

I like the football but I don't like the booing, no drink, tourists, selfies etc. I can see why people don't like it.

It's relevant to where the owners want us to be. I've actually argued on here against people who have said that they'd rather win the PL than the CL. My view has been that's it's crucially important to the journey that Abu Dhabi is taking us on. But I still don't like it.

Agree with you completely PB, missed one home game in all competitions in 7 years which was the Kiev game and refuse to pay the PSG prices. I can see why the club need to be in the CL but the whole thing leaves me cold.

I certainly see the financial benefit and I've always said that the owners see it as essential that we get as far as possible and regularly appear in the semi-finals and even the odd final. But that doesn't get me excited about it.

So you see it as being relevant?

So you believe it's relevant then to your enjoyment of watching world class players turn out for us because of the financial benefits the CL brings!

BTW fella, I've already said I'm not going to the home leg as the ticket prices are too high

FA Cup - run by a corrupt old boys club
Premier League - run by a set of money making greedy bastards
Champs League - run by another set of corrupt pricks

BUT I want City to win every competition we are in. That's the point of support.

Just add two letters to your statement

And how many of the 20000 will go to genuine fans once the corporates are sorted?, it's a bent completion and a bent organisation running it.
