Yaya's agent goes in hard on Txiki

All that got blown away though when cakegate raised it's ugly head, followed by the death of Yaya's brother. Yaya's silence other than his "Selek speaks for me" comment, along with two seasons of mainly lacklustre work would strongly suggest he wants away. We will only find out the truth if his contract is really going to be bought out.

On the contract front we will see..
IMO he should be given a slice of the same cake the club gave Vieira, he's done a lot more for the club than what he did..

David Silva said it was the left back we sold to Norwich that convinced him to join City.

I'm with you on that, IWH.

Yaya's contribution to our success over the last six years cannot be overstated.

He scored the winner in both the semi-final and final of our first FA Cup win for 42 years, two goals at Newcastle, which made Agüeroooooooooo possible, 20 or so goals, as well as many assists, in our second Premier League title success and much more besides.

It matters not one jot what Seluk has seen fit to come out with; Yaya's status as a Manchester City legend is assured, IMHO.
Although statistically Yaya's contribution cannot be argued with, perceptions can, and very often do, alter realities. If Yaya is really more concerned about his legacy than the amount of money he can bequeath to his family then he should have the awareness to know what damage is being caused by the constant interventions, on his behalf, by his agent. He would do well to remember that we are only fans of Yaya because he plays for City, and not fans of City because Yaya happens to play for them. We are fans of City first and foremost. The fans revere him because of the contribution he has made to the success of MCFC in recent seasons. It therefore follows that if he, or his agent, drag the name of MCFC through the mud, then that reverence is somewhat diluted. Regardless of his campaign against the City management Yaya would always get another contract. It might not be at City, it might not be as lucrative as he might like, but he will get one. The fact that he is condoning this campaign by his agent tells us that he is more concerned about the amount of money he can make rather than his standing in the eyes of the fans and the club. In the final analysis, the perception of his status in the eyes of the fans will reflect this.

Don't remember Vieira's agent constantly slagging the club off.
Vieira is an ambassador for the club. Can't see Yaya ever being that with the attitude he is displaying.

Or he didn't have the inclination. You obviously don't know what an ambassador is. An ambassador isn't a title anyone is given. It is an accolade that is earned by presenting a particular institution in a favourable light by your own conduct. Vieira wasn't just here for 28 games, he's been here for 6 years and I can't remember him once portraying the club in a bad light regardless of changes in the management structure of the club while he has been here.
If you think that Mirror article isn't a piece of vitriolic shit stirring laced with assertions regarding how the statement of Guardiola's impending arrival has destabilised the club and led to our dismal form when anybody can we haven't been playing well for the last 6 months because of injuries, is it a coincidence that we look a better team when we have Nasri and KDB on the pitch, and it could be argued, the style of management of Pellegrini, then you either a little naive or are extremely generous in your interpretation. It is shit stirring of the highest order to suggest that Pellegrini has been disrespected in any way by the announcement of Guardiola's appointment when Pellegrini announced the appointment to the press himself and the whole world and his wife knew that Guardiola was Ciy's next manager upon expiry of his Bayern contract. To lump all that together and throw it onto the shoulders of Txixi is plainly disingenuous.
As to your demand for a link as to what Yaya has said. Well, you don't have a dog and bark yourself. Seluk is Yaya's dog and he has been doing plenty of barking. Every word coming out of Seluk's mouth into the press has Yaya's approval or else Seluk wouldn't be saying it.
But you carry on , don't let me put you off worshipping your idol.

No offence but when he started saying that Yaya would come back like Arnold Schwarzenegger to "take Txiki's job" he started to sound like an angry uncle who can't handle his lager and has short man syndrome.

I think we should thank Yaya for his contribution, and then fuck him and his agent as far away as possible. This is clearly timed to coincide with our biggest game of the season. Legend my Arse.. I support Manchester City not Yaya Toure and his employee/agent/mouthpiece who seems only to think of his next pay day. What you risk reveals what you value, so Yaya risks our season and the tarnishing of his legacy here for more money. Tells me all I need to know. Should have been sold after our last title.

Nicking that :-)

beyond any doubt

Yaya is a City legend

Goodbye Yaya. Thank you for the memories. We will do next season without you. Give our best regards to your agent. If as he suggests you are going to buy the last year of your contract out, that is fine by us. Almost forgot, when it occurs, a very happy birthday.

I think Garry cooked his own goose (pun intended) by lying about the original email to his then employers.

Wasn't Joorabchian SWP's agent?

SWP and Nedum are mates...
I thought SWP's agent/advisor was his dad Ian?

I always thought the email in question was sent from Cook to Marwood but Nedum's mum was copied in in error. I know Joorabchian caused us no end of trouble, but I don't recall hearing his name called as the leak. However didn't it later emerge that Joorabchian had a 'mandate' to represent Nedum albeit he wasn't a registered agent which in a round about way could make him the potential source of the leak or the agitator at least?

Same topic as last year, same comments as last year. I mean, it looks obvious that he'll go. Then again, everyone was wrong last year.... and the year before. So... we'll see.

TBF, if I were his agent, I'd be very suspicious of City using him in the negotiations for Pogba - i.e. keeping Yaya dangling, so City can publicly maintain the stance that we would be perfectly fine with or without PP... whilst actively planning behind the scenes to get rid of Yaya.

And I will say, Yaya left PSG and Barca on very good terms. Maybe he's prepared to forgo that.... maybe partly because it's his last deal, but maybe partly because he knows how we work - we've shown on more than one occassion that the knives are always kept sharp and the PR briefings are already typed up.

He has never played for PSG?

You may be right about Joorabchian representing Nedum, but I thought his mum was his agent.

And I did know that Cook's problems stemmed from accidentally copying in Mrs Onuaha to the email to Marwood.

I think his mum was trying to negotiate with City on Nedum's behalf but Joorabchian was 'advising' them both.

I think the reason Joorabchian's name came into it was because the email was apparently a year old before it was leaked and in that time Cook and Nedum's mum were trying to work through their issues. Then Joorabchian came onto the scene with an axe to grind over Tevez, the email coincidentally gets leaked to the media and that was the beginning of the end for Cook.

It was also the end for Nedum iirc. He was on loan at Sunderland and City wanted to sell him or loan him out again and he refused to go saying he wanted to stay and fight for his place and basically wasted a year of his career in our reserves before he eventually moved on. Nice lad but a limited player who's probably found his level where he is.
