Let's Be Fair: Ticket Prices For The Semi Final Of The Champions League

The club got lucky last night that the first leg went the way it did. Had we lost 2-0 we'd have been looking at 15,000 empty seats. They'll know that because of how slow ticket sales were to begin with and how much they had to spend on advertising. I don't expect the prices to rise.

Same as last night would be a good start, would sell out early.... I just hope its not horrendous

I agree with a discount for fans who attended the group stage. Last week at the Arena there was a world title fight (one of 3 or 4 such titles) can anyone tell me the prices, the tile fight did not go past round 2, we are told over and over on this site that Manchester is a low wage area.

I have a season ticket and fortunately can afford to attend the cup games but the guys that pay on a match to match basis are having it tough, take this week for example, £40ish for a league game v WBA then £50ish for Paris, thats £90 from one weeks wages and if they follow the Blues away then its off the scale.
Personally I thing the club could do a little more, A £50 reduction in the price of a season ticket would cost them £2m which is chicken feed to them, especially with the new TV deal. The capped away tickets at £30 is a step in the right direction but £20 would have been better and £30 for home fans(behind the goal) and £40 along the sides (assuming they're better seats) wouldn't even scratch the surface of the clubs income.
Come on City, take the lead!!

Totally different

How many world boxing title fights are there a year in the country?

I thought that as well. Hopefully the ticket prices will stay the same as last night. We can't expect a price reduction in all honesty.

No we can't, but they don't need to go up either. What is an extra £5-£10 per ticket to the club if they piss us all off again, and undo the good PR generated by the season ticket freeze?

And surely the club wants us all getting giddy and excited about the semi final than whinging and moaning about how much the tickets cost

It won't actually be easy to get tickets for this if not bothered so far as priority is given to anyone who bought one for last night according to the flyer they were handing out before the West Brom game.

The club "got lucky" cos we won. The club "got lucky" cos they invested millions in a wonderful squad and the world's best facilities. The club "got lucky" and have a semifinal as a reward. Credit where credit is due, Blue.
