My position on the gaffer is clear on here and yes, he has made mistakes and yes, I've acknowledged them but he has and has always had my support.

That said, his time is up because for no other reason, we have managed to secure someone far better, that's football and i fully support that decision as well.

Your comments about Brenton and Redknapp are laughable and not worthy of further discussion to be honest.

One last time, his achievements in the last 3 years by any measure in the football would and are seen as a success bar a few on here that have cemented their position on him long ago.

We have regressed in the league alarmingly over the last two seasons, that everyone can surely agree on.

I am judging him on what I see on the pitch, pure & simple. We should be champions this season (Arsenal should be 2nd) . It's huge failure by both Pellegrini & Wenger. Utd should be involved but have signed mostly shite players. They are a huge laughing stock failure but could still finish above us with an FA Cup. That's how laughable the defence of his management is.
 
It will be a stadium of mixed emotions when they do a lap of honour after Arsenal match,some will wave at him,others will want to give him the fingers,but his time is up,and considering how fucked up we have been made lately,he will not leave as a legend,but a boss whose done OK,but in reality should have done a lot better,and before anyone else asks me what I will do,I'll probably give him a polite applause,but know that when I see him go down that tunnel it will be the last time I see him doing so,(as City boss),then reality will kick in of who will be stood in our technical area next season..........awesome thought

See, I have to take issue with that bit. If he leaves here after three years with one title and two league cups to show for it I don't think it's a given that it's a success. At best it's probably par, at worse you could say we've underachieved relative to spending and the squad he inherited.
We don't have the right to win every competition, but we do as fans have the right not to expect us to surrender at a whimper.
The CL could of course change the whole perception of his tenure. It's a funny game as they say.

KDB comes back and the club plays better. Suddenly Pellers is a top manager, then?

I say he wasn't bad before. But our often terrible league form over most of the past two years doesn't suggest particular greatness either.

For me, more of a "replacement level" manager for a group stages CL-standard club. ie more or less no better or worse than what a club of our approximate profile is going to be able to hire circa 2013.

Also, for me, a better manager than his predecessor. But surely not as good as his successor :)

As i posted we had a weakened squad last year. 16% less players than everyone else in the Champions league. Others think it didn't affect or Premiership form but we'll never know. If they had to work 16% harder than other teams in the Champions league why wouldn't that have an effect on Premiership form? & we were restricted in purchases...Chelsea weren't. Anyhow booing them uefa wallies is City's only payback...and winning it ;-)

I will give him a merry send off even if we miss 4th. He won a title.

On the othef hand I'll be delighted to see the back of him even if he wins the CL.

No issue with much of that and the way you present it.

I think the progress in the CL is enough for senior management to think he has done well and its an opinion i share as well.

Thing is we won't know if we have missed out on 4th,having to go to Swansea I suppose,unless it's already guaranteed that is,as your comments say,mixed emotions like me

That's some weird logic you're coming up with there. Do you think we had to work 16% harder? Or do you think the reality is it made very little difference?

In your opinion they are shite but its still a side that has cost huge amounts to assemble and as seen of late, going forward they have some very good young players coming through but its a moot point in that I'm asking you to keep your powder dry and see how it pans out.

If the world comes crashing down and you are right then by all means come on and tell us I told you so but right now, you are arguing a point that hasn't even happened and worse still, you could be proven so wrong its untrue.

On top of that, we have Pep next year so who gives a shit? ;-)

Here's one for you.

Let's say we play Bayern Munich (mind it holds true for any). Do you trust Pellegrini not to play Fernandinho & Yaya in centre mid, with Silva & Navas out wide ?

I do actually. I think he will go with the 2 Ferns, Yaya off the bench and i will go as far as saying he will go with Sterling and Navas out wide with KdB behind Kun and Silva could well warm the bench.

That's my hope anyway.

Well if you were right on that score all season, I would have less of a problem with the bloke who has taken until now to possibly get it.

Edit: but still don't trust him to do it.
