Sergio in the 100 club

Scores decent goals, but doesn't pass and doesn't track back - lazy fucker. Oh, and according Milner (ex player of ours, and English (so he won't lie)) he is lazy in training. I'd take Rashford in a swap deal now - young, English, massive potential and proven in the Prem.......

Love Sergio! Seems to have lost a yard of pace though, he's probably just knackered from carrying the team over the last few months!

Is it just me or does he score Fewer spectacular goals now?

Most of these nominations for his best goal are from a few years back, and it feels like he doesn't try the spectacular from distance or an acute angle anymore.

As long as he keeps banging them in I suppose it's meaningless.

How many goals have we scored this, or last season that have made you sit up and say "WOW"? Probably a handful at most (unless I'm missing some from memory). Funnily enough that is also during the time that we have looked lethargic, laboured and allowed defences to pack themselves to the rafters to shut us out.

He still scores excellent dribbling goal ala Munich, Barcelona. Can score from distance ala Liverpool.

It's a testament to his versatility and ability that he can adjust to our game and changes (intentional or not) in our play. He's scored a lot more headers and some bloody good ones this year as a result of our game relying more on beating defences with crosses. More open, expansive attacking football will see bang some more beauties in.

Definitely lost some pace because of the 3 hamstring injuries in 13/14 and the World Cup.

He's still fast enough though and he's improved in other areas.

In the modern game, I think it's inevitable. Ronaldo has lost some of his speed, Bale will be the same by the time he reaches sergios age. 50-60 game seasons and rushing back from injury to play for club or country all the time take their toll.

Players just have to adapt as they age.

That's true, the best looking goals rely a lot on a bit of space, transitioning quickly from defence to attack, where the game opens up and there's only 3/4 defenders to get past, not a 10 camped in their box. Aka everything we have been missing for the last 2 years.

The prospect of Agüero playing with another 2 or 3 more world class players under a manager like Guardiola next season is mouth watering.

I genuinely feel that if he can stay fit - and his muscle injury problems do seem to have been gotten under control - then he will beat the 31 goal in a season record comfortably. Could even beat the 34 goal record set in a 42 game season.

Third best player in the world according to Neil Custis. I agree with him, if he played a full season without any set backs, he'd be on par with messi, Ronaldo and Suarez. Put aguero in that barca side and he'd be doing what suarez is doing now.

Norwich at home, surrounded by 4 players. Toe pokes it through two sets of legs and into the corner. No other player in the world scores in that same situation, imo.
