Even if we won the CL, he'd never get the praise he deserves.
CorrectThanks, post it if you can mate as I can find no other statement anywhere so I'd be genuinely interested. Everyone suspected Pep was coming to City but I reckon only Pep's people and City knew with absolute certainty and Richard Keys of BEIN Sports! Lol
As for City being in on Manuel's announcement, it took everyone by surprise and it just had the feeling of an impromptu decision to do so on Manuel's behalf not something the club was expecting and prepared for.

Of course he didWait, what? Are you really suggesting that Manuel made that statement without the club being aware he was going to make it or am I misreading what you're saying?
If 3 years from today Pep has won one title, 2 domestic cups, amd is in his first champs lge semi final, as well as winning the most premier league points over that almost 3 seasons, would he be viewed as a success or would he be seen as "shit", "fucking clueless" and a "fucking corpse"?
Except he didn't, which is why the club had printed statements ready to hand out at the end of the press conference that he made the announcement.Correct
He dropped the club right fuckin in it..
Of course he did
If he's out of the title race with months to go two seasons on the bounce he too will cop for flack.
Of course he did
If you think city would handle the biggest appointment in world football in the way that was dealt with, your mistaken. No one at the club was aware of what he was abt to do. He should of kept his mouth fuckin zipped.Except he didn't, which is why the club had printed statements ready to hand out at the end of the press conference that he made the announcement.
Have you any evidence of this or is it your opinion? If you think city would handle the biggest appointment in world football in the way that was dealt with, your mistaken. No one at the club was aware of what he was abt to do. He should of kept his mouth fuckin zipped.
That's just wrong, after Bayern pushed Pep into saying he was leaving, there was only one way the club could manage it and allow Manuel to be available for other jobs, the announcement was co ordinated with the club, hence the printed statement ready to go.If you think city would handle the biggest appointment in world football in the way that was dealt with, your mistaken. No they don't, it just fits nicely with "everything is manuels fault", and helps detract from yesterdays good win.Have you any evidence of this or is it your opinion?
I was told this and 100% believe the source too. I also have a pair of eyes and ears and couldn't believe what was unfolding in that press conference with city then quickly handing out bits of paper to the waiting press. It was a shambles.Have you any evidence of this or is it your opinion?
The announcement came at the end of the press conference, so when did somebody rush out write a statement and get it printed for the journalists?I was told this and 100% believe the source too. I also have a pair of eyes and ears and couldn't believe what was unfolding in that press conference with city then quickly handing out bits of paper to the waiting press. It was a shambles.
So no evidence then, and we all have eyes and ears, thanks, that lead most to a totally different conclusionI was told this and 100% believe the source too. Believe what you want but that announcement was not club sanctioned and came out of the blue from pellegrini.S

...and yet knew nothing about it.So you are saying that City handed out statements to the press at the end of his press conference?
The difference between Pep and Manuel is like night and day. Their approach to the game couldn't be any more different. One of them immerses himself into every single detail, nothing left to chance and studies each and every aspect of the job at hand. The other is Thankfully leaving us in less than two months. It sounds like we are in agreement. With the squad he is inheriting, the millions he will be lavishing on further improvements in the summer (and subsequent Windows) if he doesn't win the title next year and at least one more in the following 2 seasons, he will have proven himself no upgrade on our current manager. That's without the requirement to win at least 2 domestic trophies in 3 years to just keep pace with Manuel.
Of course if he wins a champs lge or two it is unarguable that he will be viewed as a success and rightly so but he would need to do that at least once to differentiate his achievements from Pellers (assuming we don't win it this year which we very well might - if we do pep would have to win it twice in his 3 years to be seen as an upgrade on our current manager of course). I think he will find it tough over here as it is the first league he has managed in that isnt a 2 (occasionally for half a season or so, 3) horse race.
I'm sure he will do just fine but I'm less sure he will do enough to set himself apart from pelligrinis achievements, or even mancinis.
We will see.
...and yet knew nothing about it.
