Well done boss

He said something post-match which was along the lines of we defended well and we were waiting for individuals to create a moment of magic.

A couple of things:
1 - I didn't think we defended particularly well
2 - Does he not realize that attackers also(I say also but not sure why) need to be coached as well as defenders? Bayern, Athletico, Real Madrid all has plans when in possession. We did not

He's a lucky man that we had Guardiola lined up or he would have been gone 18 months ago.

Just seen his press conference and he is saying we were unlucky and didn't deserve to lose, wow, he really is deluded isn't he.

He won't be that gutted about it. He'll be disappointed but feel he's done well.

He'll be very sad indeed to leave, as this is his last big job, but he'll think he's done fine & his plan has worked pretty well.

What was his post match excuse??, not seen it
Over the two ties we were the better team and didn't deserve to lose. Real were lucky and scored with a lucky goal. That about sums it up really.

Do you think he and the players will understand how the fans feel? Pelligrini has slowly over the season turned into a very unpopular person at the club, but on the whole the fans have remained fairly supportive at games. I think he is lucky really there is only 2 games left.

Pellers man management just isnt good enough. I dont think Pep will need much time to change things, we have a good team, (give or take a few lazy twats) but we have a decent team and I expect hhim to work with what he has got, add a few more, and win things from the start.

When the team try they are capable of great things. Based upon all of the games I would say we have tried oonly half of the time. It wasnt good enough, and leicester, (and now RM) have gotten away with City not trying.

Something Pep will bring is that work ethic that we so desparately need. Looking at it from the outside, we have a bunch of prima donna's who cant be bothered, it makes us a laughing stock. We all know the real story, thhe bias against us, the players who live and breath the city shirt.... But the press, the media like a soap story, and City have painted themselves into the "rich kids who cannot be bothered corner". Pep will change that into a turn-around story, the press will be back on our side, good things will come.

But the owners must know how much we have gone backwards in the last three years, they must be banking everything on Pep. It haas to work.

I doubt he realises there are a decent percentage of fans who think he's the biggest problem. Because I don't think he sees a problem anyway, & as you say, the fans are nice to him & sing his name. I've done it plenty myself & I can't stand him.

What I did not understand about last night is that after 60-70 minutes we were in a fantastic position. We were 1 goal from going through, and although Real Madrid were dominant they weren't brilliant. But we never flipped the switch from defence to attack. Not sure why that was. Leadership and personality is lacking in this team from the manager and players and hence aimless

Sticking with Yaya yesterday was a massive mistake, the guy sleepwalked up till he was changed. If all the fans and pundits see it, how come he doesn't?

The same group proved they weren't mercenaries years back, but now that is exactly how they look.

We probably created this situation for ourselves by sacking Pellegrini and leaving him in charge but everyone will think (for the moment) it was the right thing to do

Credit where it's due.... after three years he's finally managed to unite all City fans in their view of him & his tenure at our club.

Spot on. No intensity, as if all was lost, when in reality there was still everything to play for. You could see RM was holding a training session the last 20 minutes when they should have been pushed all the way at that point. A pity.
