Kelechi Iheanacho

I don't criticise newspapers, they're independant publications that are available to read or not. I particularly hate the constant 'Daily Mail'
tag applied to anyone with a conflicting opinion, or 'Guardian yoghurt knitters' bullshit, they merely write what they think, and you can agree, and continue buying the paper,
or call the content a load of bollox and bin it. The Mirror though, does indeed have an extremely pro Rag agenda, way in excess of any other paper, and, being retired, I read most of them.
So judge this declaration as just that.

That's a fair assessment i say :)

Jesus H Christ. One fucking story in one our shite tabloids, with what I'm guessing is written with fuck all substantiation, and suddenly Iheanacho is a greedy, selfish ****. If you look up 'knee jerk reaction' in the dictionary you'll find a link to this thread.

Let's just wait to see what plays out with this story, then we can insert his name in the Yaya song.

Have seen something similar before, actually. I don't know too much about this website tbh though. In any case, now two stories.

And for the record, if I was on £18K/week I'd think I was the luckiest fucker on Earth. Then again, I'm not a footballer.

Indecision because he had too many options, go left to Aguero, go right to Navas, go alone, he couldn't decide and fucked it up. If he was all about himself he would've just gone alone without considering the other options and likely would have buried it.

The pass was Navas, but you believe he would've buried it ?

So are you saying if this is true, we should cave in and give him what he demands? You couldn't make this place up at times.

I'm saying first and foremost it's bollocks. I'm also saying if you want to be what this club supposedly wants to be, you don't let potential superstars leave. This lad is a potential superstar, head and shoulders above every other player his age in the league.

Make of that what you will.

None of the biggest, most powerful clubs would let a 19 year old who's played 20 or so games take the piss with a new contract, because they're not that desperate.

With you that this is almost certainly bollocks, and if not it's more on his agent than Kelechi anyway.

During the agenda thread it was argued many times by posters who said just ignore tabloid crap that it does get repeated around the world. This maybe an example.
Could very well be true. The downside of being a club with an owner who has limitless resources and has had no problem spending in the past is everyone thinks it should happen in perpetuity. Every man deserves £100K a week.

No that's ridiculous. If we dare offer him that, what do you think Roberts, Denayer, Brahim, Sancho etc will all demand. He may be a potential superstar but this is about setting a precedent; if he will only stay at this club if he makes 150K then goodbye. No other club in world football would agree to such a ridiculous demand so why should we?

I agree with this statement. Give him a pay rise but nothing "extravagant". Let him know the club would be very happy to revisit his contract in a season or three, if his play deserves it.

That's how it goes. If he truly wants that 150k, it shows he isn't willing to put the work in to eventually reach it and that's a bad trait.

Let's lynch the agent(s). This reminds me of the Džeko saga a few years back.

We had Sky run a daily comparison where Rashford usually came out on top. To follow this up we have the rag media claiming Nacho is demanding £150k per week new contract in contrast to Rashford may be invited to train with Roy's squad and make a late claim for the Euros.
What's the word I'm looking for Frank?

The word is tnuc .

Their is nothing to compare, both players could become top players.

In Kelchi we could have a VERY special player, BUT he was a lot of work ahead of him, he is going to have many ups and downs, its how he reacts when he has the 'down' times that will see how good he is.

I just hope the kid has good people behind him, Nigerians do have a certain and often deserved reputation.

If I was Kelchi I would get the PFA to represent me.

its pretty clear to see that nacho is the better player, by some distance, that wont be allowed to be uttered by any pundit but its what it is. that said i'd take rashford to the euros no problem.
