I hope LVG just starts dishing the dirt, I'm sure he plenty to dish.

If there is a silence clause in his settlement, he somehow doesn't seem to me to be the type of person to respect it. Most of it will probably be in Holland and in Dutch.... It's more a question of whether our "free" press will cover the stories.

I urge our international friends to keep their ears to the ground and to keep us informed.
No chance of the turtle throwing the dirt about, he's had a big payoff to gag him.

I'm more interested in the Maureen delay, they've had literally months to sort this out, it's either an attempt to keep in the news which is probably the reason but a bit of me would like to think it's either not as cut and dried as its being made out or he's rinsing the rags for more money.

I can't understand why the didn't go and get 'The P.E.G' in January if the reports are true of meetings and a retainer being paid, if they knew then the turtle was going at the end of the season why not do it then, after their worst run of form in 26 years? The press would have all been saying it was the correct decision and nobody could really criticise them for it.
He'd have almost certainly guaranteed Champions league football, especially the way we imploded this season and they'd be able to attract the elite players, all it has proven to me is how much of a shambles they've become.

Probably some non compete clause in Maureen's contract our severance terms with Chelsea

He is going to hate it in Manchester, there is no way he will be able to wander the streets not pestered by people like he did in that there london.

Nearly everyone who enters my pub asks what I think of Mourinho. I just say that l'd rather not talk about him as I think that he is a despicable man ... but he does seem to have found his ideal club

Probably the same as with gollum.

Fail to qualify for Champions' League and you're sacked. However, with the FA Cup final the week after the end of the season, they had to wait until after the weekend.

It was PEG - and Mendes - who fucked things up for them.

Well they finally did the deed and flirted the Tactical Turtle last night - I'm astonished at the lack of reports in the media alluding to a lack of class from the Swampites in sacking a manager just 48 hours after he won a trophy and doing it all behind his back. Unlike a certain club a few miles down the road who kept their manager abreast of developments regarding his replacement every step of the way - apparently that's a worse way of doing things! We can only dream of aspiring to do things the "United Way" - there's a certain style in the way their chairmen have sold condemned meat to schools across Greater Manchester and had a penchant for lurking in ladies toilets, plus who can forget the dignified manner in which they evicted the survivors and families out of their club rented homes immediately after the Munich air disaster?

Anyway, I digress - let's all hail a new era for them in class and dignity and welcome the PEG. I'm sure he'll be a perfect fit for them - hopefully by March the #SOP (Save Our PEG) campaign will be in full swing!

The public face of Man Utd is about to be Jose Mourinho. A bad enough image when he was a winner.

When the dust settles there will be very little difference in time scale between the Hughes Out and Mancini In scenario and the Turtle Out and the Sardine In. Yet there will be a world of difference in the way the RagDipperArseMeedya report it. MCFC were vilified for the shabby way in which Hughes was ejected (don't remember him winning the FArce Cup two days before he got the shoulder!) and the way The Special Sardine will transform the Swamp Donkeys and deliver the old arrogant glory days! Louis has been airbrushed! He never came! Game of Thrones comes to Trafford! The Scarlet Walkers are on the march. We need a wall at the top end of Deansgate!

Very true!

Also, one thing that gets overlooked by the media with regards to the Hughes sacking is that he wasn't even ADUG's appointment in the first place. Yet our owner still gave him the best part of 18 months when many other owners may well have sacked him as soon as the takeover went through. I don't recall any furore when Al Fayed sacked Micky Adams as soon as he bought Fulham - despite the fact that Adams had just gotten them promoted. Or when Stoke's Icelandic owners sacked Gary Megson on day one despite them being in a play-off position.

I am getting a bit fed up with the shite being spouted now. We are expected to believe Mendes is arriving to sort a deal out. Bollocks. If this was true what would happen if they fail to agree on a salary /?they would have no manager thats what and they simply could not let that happen.

This deal was sorted out months ago but nobody has the balls to report it truthfully or at least ask the Rags a direct question. We are fed the line that it is not 'the shited way' to do a deal whilst a manager is still in his job. Bollocks. Do your effin job and ask the rags hard questions or at least be honest and admit you are a bunch of spineless tossers.

Managers know what's coming to them and get unbelievably well rewarded. poor LVG. Walks away with £5 mill.

Like City have never talked to other managers. Everyone does it. The difference is sometimes it pays the media to kick the dog that does it, and other times its ignored.

The real farce is appointing a manager who totally lost the plot. No one was surprised when Mourinho was fired. it was coming. I'd love to know how he managed so successfully to totally lose his players at Chelsea, and now Utd feel they can ignore that.

The thing is, he was the only really big name still available, who would come because it milks his ego, and almost everyone else was having an upgrade.

They could have tried for Simeone, but its likely he would have turned them down without CL football, or maybe Emeri, but he's another risk like Moyes was, not many others stand out.

No plan, no plan at all, its great to watch, and hopefully will be even better by winter 2016, when hopefully he's falling apart again.

Also which major club would have employed Mourinho after his behaviour at Chelsea ? PSG because they have run out of ideas ? Anyone else ?

They need & deserve each other.

if the criteria is the creation of a media storm then it makes sense. Managed to drag Real Madrid and Chelsea through the mud though so why should it be any different this time around. We all knew someone would take a chance on him again. Last chance for manager and club.

Just got to sit back and watch this circus for a week before the Euros.
