John Stones

This has been agreed for a while with stones hasn't it? Only reason he was watching the champions league match??!! Also pellers to Everton might allow us to chuck a player into the deal to soften the fee?
Barkley was at the match too, meant fuck all.

Get Stones in though, now. He's quality.

Stones looks good in that vid of 1 game. But he is not always that good. I don't rate him as significantly better than Denayer and when you factor in Denayer is our player and is club trained I think it is a no brainer! Stones only for the right price - otherwise give Denayer a chance!

Not the best video to show him off to be honest.

Stones has been having a Merseyside removal van move his stuff into his house in Hale this week, although he bought it months ago.

+1 Mavs. Well done. I've openly been against the stones signing and openly admitted I kfa even though I'm a die hard. This registers for me. I'd rather allocate the funds towards pogba but this is really reassuring for me.
I hope we have budget for both cause I've got the hots for Pogba the most :D

That is just false. I've seen Kompany look crappy enough and excused coz of the great things he has done. What makes kompany great, is the great performances he has put up not the shitty ones. When he is shitty, He is horrible. Just like anyone

Sounds like something you'd read in the media or on here about John Stones. Yeah that was Kompany. When he is bad, he is pretty bad.

Indeed.

Like many of Stones' typical performances this season.

I have to walk past his house pretty much every day, He has owned the house for months but there have been little or no signs of anyone occupying it. There was a Merseyside removal van moving furniture in this week.

More shit defending on display from this clown tonight. Getting drawn out wide and leaving an enormous gulf in the heart of the defence, the Aussies only prevented from getting a one v one because Smalling reacted quickly and managed to intercept.

Really think this lad is a fraud. Zero positional sense or awareness of danger.

I'd be genuinely gutted if we spunked £45m on this mug and left Denayer in the shadows.

I'm going to go with Pep Guardiola's opinion. And Maureen tried to buy him last summer. You must be seeing something they missed

He's done alright for the rest of the half, to be fair.

Just have real doubts about him, and I want to see Denayer given a chance.

Stones is far from the finished product and will be a major gamble at £45m, I don't think that's up for dispute.

Stones playing well defending with authority that half it was Smalling looking like a headless chicken and an own goal around the corner for him.

Must be because it's closer to France, easier commute for the Euros.

This has been the Stones of last season. Defended well, super cool and calm when on the ball with attackers running at him, great passing including some great diagonal long passes to the wingers. Never underestimate how important confidence is to young players. Both Sterling and Stones look different players when they have some. Can fully see why Pep wants Stones.

And the same one who thought Falcao was a better bet than Lukaku.

In the Special Needs One's defence, he sold Lukaku when he signed Costa, 12 months before he signed Falcao. But the Stones argument shouldn't rely solely on Mourinho's opinion, I'm more interested in his development under Pep.
