Boooom

Correct.

I'd say that's 50/50 at the moment.

If the deals that are done or well advanced all come off then we'll spend that (and those don't include Pogba). There are other potential ones that could push that to well over £400m. Even if Pogba doesn't happen we could easily end up spending something like £375m this summer I believe. Add Pogba or Kroos in and that could be £450m+.

We couldn't spend much the next couple of summers if that's the case unless there's some huge new commercial deals in place but the fact we feel confident that we can spend that amount in one hit suggests there might be some on the way.

The press would have a field day if we spent that much.

Best make it £500 mill then. seriously I think a right back would be priority, Clichy and Angelino might be given a crack at the left back position.
If Denayer comes back as most believe he will I'd imagine he'll make a strong case for right back with Sagna pushing him. I've honestly not seen enough of Angelino to comment wherever he's ready or not. I was hoping Clichy would be a squad member next year with us bringing in a quality starter. I just know we can't go into next season with the same two left backs we've had for what seems about 100 years.

I haven't seen enough of either Denayer or Angelino, to say either way. What I am confident of though is if we don't buy fullbacks it will be because there is a plan to utilise players at the club already one way or another and it won't be because we are relying on the 4 fullbacks we have, or because Pep has overlooked the positions. So all's good.

Hows our players wages doing if we spend and sign the amount of players as you think regarding ffp and increase wages?

The main proponent of ffp has been sacked due to infringements of the 'ethics code', I wouldn't be surprised at city welcoming sanctions just so they can put the final nail in that coffin..... FFP is dead as a dodo. I also don't think the club will be best pleased in the millions forked out in fines..

We won't spend anywhere near what PB has alluded to, £200m max in my opinion, however, there will be a marquee signing (:

I found it difficult to get to PB s figure, on the other hand, I estimated £80 mill on centre backs, £20 mill Gundogon. only leaves 100 mill for probably another central midfielder a wide forward and any full backs / keeper. So I would expect any Marquee signing to take us over the £200 mill up towards the £250 mill - £300mill.

Wages, as alluded to, will be a huge factor, also we won't get all of our targets....'I see us bringing in around 70/80m, even at 250m, which will be the top end, that is an insane amount of money.... Having it and spending it are two different stories, not a prayer we go anywhere near those figures alluded to!!

That's an good question as we have to comply with the PL's version of FFP which limits wage increases.

The main way of accommodating the newcomers is if there's as many going out as coming in. That's can be hit and miss depending on who we can actually shift but I'd guess that's where the bulk of the savings we need will come from.

So I'd assume Yaya's wage would be one of those we'd be most keen to shift, which alone could possibly cover three newcomers. And it's funny that from saying he can't wait to go, he's now saying the opposite. I suspect that's a negotiating ploy to get as advantageous an exit as possible. But one would assume that as we can only have a squad of a certain size, it'll be one in and one out. So if we get say Gundogan and Pogba, then it'll be Yaya & Fernando making way for them. A new left back would see Kolarov out. Stones/Laporte would replace Mangala. Etc.

Additional ticket revenue could cover someone like Pogba's wages but it hardens my suspicion that we've got some big commercial deals lined up
